I was thinking about shaking mash today and the weight of a ten gallon batch vs the strength of my 94 qt Igloo marine cooler MT handles. I am going to just put a piece of pipe under the cooler so I can easily roll the cooler it back and forth. That should give my a nice even "shake."

After I get a few batches under my belt (I haven't brewed a single one yet myself) I want to create a post apocalyptic brew. I will forage all of the ingredients I can and wild yeast will just be icing on the cake.

I'm new to this and still have lots of questions. Is it ok that these types of containers will still let air in? I thought that a fermenter needed to keep all air out. I have not brewed a batch yet but I am almost setup for all grain 10 gallon batches. Is it ok that the lid doesn't seal? If so...
