So, am I the only "No TV" weirdo here?

We ditched the TV almost 7 years ago. No regrets and plenty of perks.

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

Yes. "Sato" is the usual Thai version and you start with standing water.

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

My wife is also from Thailand and my mother in law insists I am crazy for making the stuff at all ;-) While you COULD get away with harvesting this at 1 week depending on the rice/yeast combo and get alcohol, I think it would be pretty sweet which is not a character I like in my booze. I think...

    first sake...dead yeast?

Arapolis would be the expert to talk to about this. He is the true sake master. Most of us just make rice wine.

    Yeast Trouble

The ones that I have that seem to take longer to produce liquid I attribute more to absorption than bad yeast.

Thread seems to bounce back and forth between awesome dog pics and pissing contests. Its no mountain stream but here is one of my dogs, Osric, 14 years old... decrepit as hell, and loving life. Best I can do. lol.

We got our pup from the shelter, adoption, shots, registration, AND castration for $40. I jokingly tell people for that price, they should just turn their dogs into the shelter as strays and then readopt them when its time for a neutering.

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

I would probably make them separately and then mix them. The timelines and ingredients are just so different between mead and rw (I make both) that I don't see it working. Still, you are more than welcome to give it a whirl!

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

The absurdity of that statement. Ha ha I love it. I really need to make some rice wine. I haven't brewed in a while...

Wow that is brutal. Poor pup. We had chain collars on some of our bigger dogs growing up (never prong collars though) and they never really even helped. For my big dogs now, I have this thing called a "gentle lead" which is a little cloth bit that goes over their nose and moves the leash control...

Not that unusual. I am pretty sure I could coat my face in peanut butter and present myself to Egon shepweiler and come out unscathed except for maybe getting licked to death.
