    Kegging

Burst at 30 psi for 10 min while rolling back and forth on floor. Beer was at about 38 degrees for 24 hours prior to kegging and carbing. Might have been sitting a little colder since I carved it. It has been set to 8 psi since 8 pm last night. I burped it this morning and when I got home from...

    Kegging

Thanks guys. I bleed the tank and set psi to 8 last night, burped it this morning and when I got home from work, pored a beer and still really foamy. Possible it's to cold at 38 degrees? I have gas off right now as that is what HBS owner said to do. Leave off and warm up and bleed keg. Any thoughts

    First keg

Lines might actually be four feet. Why would the HBS owner sell me lines that were to short. So,what I'm getting here is leave it at 10/11 psi for a few, days? Should I test every day or so or will I just be wasting beer?

    First keg

Thanks. The owner of my LHBS said he shakes, and serves the same day after a few hours. Next time I will just set and leave it. Hopefully this one just settles down on its own.

    First keg

Oh ya temp in freezer is about 38 and I crashed my secondary for 24 hours at that temp.

    First keg

Let me start by saying that this is my very first batch. I figured out the slow poor. I never turned the gas back on. Either way, still really foamy after pressure relieved and pressure set to 10 psi. My beer line is three feet roughly and clear. Bought at HBS. Also, I used the shake method...

    First keg

I force carved my first keg tonight. First poor was all foam. (I never burped the keg and turned my pressure down to 10psi) I then bleed the keg and the beer was much less foamy but now it is poring really really slow. Any ideas. Thanks in advance

    Kegging

Tanks for the quick response. What if I turned the pressure down already and never burped the headspace. I did try and pour one but it was pretty much all foam. Should I burp it now even though I already turned the pressure down?

    Kegging

Just force carved my first brew. Do I need to bleed the keg before I put my serving pressure on it?

    Carbonating

Just put my carboy in the kegerator at 38 degrees. How long should I cold crash?

    Carbonating

I'm getting ready to keg my first batch. I have a three keg system as u can see from the pic. My question is, can I carbonate my keg using one of my three lines off the manifold or should I take the main line out for carbing and then reconnect and hook keg up to one of the three lines?

    First batch first keg

Primary for 10 days and its been in the secondary for 20 days. I just finished putting my kegerator together. If I put secondary in the kegerator to cold crash, how long can I leave it in their. I ask because I was going to put it in tomorrow and might not be able to keg it till later in the...

    Kegging/force carbing

30 for 24 or so hours and then serving pressure for how long? Is it ready to drink after a day or so at 30 with no agitation?

    Kegging/force carbing

    Kegging/force carbing

I checked out the calculator and I like it better than the chart. So say I have at 40 degrees and 6 psi which the calculator came up with. How long do I carb it for before setting it to serving pressure? And do I bleed the co2 it of the keg before I bump up the pressure? Thanks in advance

    Kegging/force carbing

I have a thermometer for brew day but it is a floating thermometer and just figured I would have to sanitize everything and take a temp as apposed to having a thermometer on the side of my carboy or in the fridge.
