Gardening: My Tomatoe and Pepper Progress

This week's harvest, now 13 pints of tomato sauce and about 6 cups of tomato-onion-garlic sauce in the freezer. Peppers in the freezer, but the later ones get dried for the SIL and us. Plus about another 10 lbs today, that will be the next batch.

    BIAB using Bru N Water

We got a bayou classic b144 (stainless steel) which fits nicely in the 10 gal kettle, but still works fine in the 20. Put our brewing bag in the basket after heating to strike temp. Lets us use a hoist to pull it up, then we have a rack we slip under the basket to hold it above the kettle for...

    What are you drinking now?

Joys of rural living. No one told us the tank has a filter you ought to clean out.....January emergency pump when we had water backup when the iron filter flushed. Soooooo happy it wasn't the nasty stuff in our basement. Best of luck!

    Notty is too quick...or not?

Lack of Blowoff/airlock activity probably just means there was another path for the co2 to escaped. What was the o.g.? If it wasn't real high, Notty can be over with main sequence pretty quickly. But I like to leave the beer on the yeast for a couple of weeks. We just did an amber ale with notty...

Anyone going to the 2018 Homebrew Con in Portland Oregon?

We were down in the southern burbs to connect with friends, and "had" to kill some time in some wine tasting to avoid the rush hour traffic. Between wineries, breweries and dispenseries, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting someone who wants to sell you some really good stuff!:p
