    That's not a huge amount of bittering hops or flavor hop. Maybe intended that way, should be excellent aroma hopped IPA. Just my 2 cents

    Thanks !!! I will just use my normal process of purging oxygen and put 20lb for a day then drop down to serving pressure until ready (usually a couple of days).

    Has anyone kegged 2.5 gallons in a 5 gallon keg? I want to split a 5 gallon batch with someone but we only have 5 gallon kegs would the extra space just fill with co2?

    Tips on Wood Aging.

    well an update for me I steamed 2 oz. med. toast chips. put in the secondary tasted after 4 days can taste some woody undertones I think i'm gonna keg after 5 days... BTW I am oaking a dunkel so i dont want to much oak just a little

    IIpa recipe formulation

    just thought it would add some body and smooth mouth feel without adding color or much sweetness. Having said that I am open to suggestions as I am really new to recipe formulation. Ive been brewing for quite some time but not making my own recipes.

    would toasting them in the oven be enough to call them sanitized?

    I bought oak chips from LHBS the don't appear toasted. How would toasting them in the oven work, maybe 350 degree for 10-15 min. any thoughts?

    Johnson a419 controller

    Can this controller be setup to control heat and cooling together or just one or the other? I have it setup in cooling mode now but need heating at night and possible cooling during day. I am thinking of wiring a heat belt for night but want to keep cooling for daytime. Thanks
