Maryland NHC 2016 Baltimore - Grand Banquet Ticket

At Phili it was a badge add on. They didn't scan badges for dinner if I recall. They took tickets.

Face is $50.00 if I recall correctly, it was bundled when I registered. Last NHC you got a ticket with your badge. So I would say we meet up at conference if you are interested.

Make an offer. I decided not to go due to food allergies. No sense going to watch people eat.

    The Best Wort Chiller

(I use a 10 gallon MegaPot. My Groundwaters is about 58-60 degrees. ) Used my new Mantis today. Worked better than I could have hoped. Well worth the money. I also love the low profile so that the coils are all submerged. I was able to get to pitching temp (68 degrees) in less than 15...

    Jaded Brewing

Used my new Mantis today. Worked better than I could have hoped. Well worth the money. I also love the low profile so that the coils are all submerged. I was able to get to pitching temp (68 degrees) in less than 15 minutes. That is significantly less than my old 25ft standard copper...

Finding FG with OG and ABV - I no math

Roughly....and you can back check your math with this site by plugging in what you come up with and comparing it to your estimated ABV: http://www.brewersfriend.com/abv-calculator/ (1.064-FG) x 131 = 7.8 1.064-FG = 7.8/131 >> solve right side and then rearrange to get below 1.064 = .0595419...

Help Me clone 21st Amendment Toaster Pastry India Red

Only had this once...but just looking at grains maybe this would help....I took the %'s out of Beersmith (rounding--so yes its more than 100%) so that you could scale accordingly. Also, being that its a "bready" pastry type base you may want to consider upping the munich and biscuit and...

Input on my entrance into the Session IPA world

For what its worth, I usually mash my session IPAs much lower...148-152. Read that somewhere when researching Founders All Day Clones as inspiration. Also, I prefer first wort hopping for my IPAs to get a nice smooth bitterness to compliment the late additions.

    Jaded Brewing

Good to hear! If I was to order a Chinchilla and realize its too small for my needs (although I use a 25 ft IC now and it seems to work OK for my size batches) can I exchange it? I think I can based on your FAQs but wanted to make sure. If I order today are they in stock?

    Jaded Brewing

That doesn't make me feel good about purchasing through them. I have read great things about their chillers, but if it never comes that defeats the point. Luckily I am still waiting on questions to be answered of which one would be the best fit. -------> see next post, that should negate...

    Dry Hopping - Newbie Question

It's totally up to you. I have done it both ways with fine results. These days I am lazy so I just dump the dry hops into the primary after primary fermentation is complete. Getting a hop bag out of the carboy isn't impossible, but its a pain if you ask me. In terms of hop residue, it...

Anyone know if these guys are still around? I emailed them a few days ago with no response. It also doesn't seem like the page has changed recently.

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

Careful with Bramling. I used it for the first time, I found it to overwhelm the malt bill. So, it could just be I overdid it...but who knows??? I know its used a lot in the English styles, so I am sure it can work...just don't know the right ratios yet.

    Hoppy Wheat Extract

Just my opinion...not sure you need the carapils in there since you are doing a wheat beer. That may aid in head retention in and of itself. Also if you want to save money (maybe??) you don't necessarily need to combine both liquid and dry malt extracts if they are both wheat. Also, are you...
