buying grain by the pound, hops by the ounce, not reusing yeast.. it's expensive. and the equipment upgrade bug can bite hard. and brewing marginal beer can take it's toll on a person.

If you use a kerosene wick canning stove and heat your strike/sparge water with diesel... don't get your wick wet while pouring collected water into your HLT. Don't do that.

that's living on the edge! I have a 16 gallon boil kettle and currently making 5 gallon batches with an eye towards scaling my process to 10 gallons.... so cannot see myself using this product anytime soon.

negative - I am not trapped, but I am wanting to be unobtrusive. I've been eyeballing a small space in the laundry room that may go relatively unnoticed if planned correctly. I use a compact fridge (garage) for fermentation and serving. I may pick up a 2nd and just serve 2 kegs out of it.

your handle is outstanding - my dogs names are frank and beans. I am rethinking a compact upright, there are probably good reasons I cannot find anyone using one for a keezer...
