    Doutight regulators

Has anybody ever used these Duotight regulators and are they any good? I'm building a new CO2 manifold and want to use a few of these so I can put different pressures on different kegs. DuoTight Inline Regulator with Gauge

How to repair a glass carboy???

I have three right now and can't give them away! I have tried. They are just about worthless these days.

    Brewing table

I have one of the Regency tables for my 10 gallon HERMS system and had to TIG weld the legs to the underside of the table to strengthen it up. Before welding the legs to the table, it was very flimsy when any of the three vessels were filled with water. Just something to think about.

    Strata hops

Strata is amazing and can totally work as a standalone hop (I've done it), but I'm not sure what this "west coast" thing is you're talking about.

How to repair a glass carboy???

Put it directly in the trash. They are dangerous as hell without defects!

5 or 10 gallon heated and cooled fermentation chamber

No takers? I will throw in two glass carboys, a carboy hauler, and a carboy dryer for free.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I'm getting ready to do a Citra, Idaho 7, Simcoe beer. All hops are the most recent crops from YVH and I have the same quantity of each. The overall ratio needs to be 1:1:1. Never used this combo before. Anyone want to recommend a hopping schedule?

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

There are never any consensus on anything, but I never do it anymore. I just do it all in the primary. It's so much easier and there is no benefit to keg hopping for me, although I wanted to believe there was a benefit before I started doing it all in the primary.

Is kegging that much of a PITA?

You forgot one of the main advantages of bottling- oxidizing your finished beer.

Is kegging that much of a PITA?

It's a hell of a lot easier than bottling.

5 or 10 gallon heated and cooled fermentation chamber

For sale is my fermentation chamber capable of fermenting two 6 gallon glass carboys or buckets. I'm sure other vessels would fit as well. It evolved over the time I used it and is now a very fine tuned, easy to use chamber. It worked awesome for many batches and is able to hold temps within...

Alternative StarSan uses: cleaning wiper fluid nozzles

I had a 1/2" diameter brass threaded rod that I was about to make some parts out of that was badly oxidized. Full strength StarSan cleaned all of the green oxidation off and left a nice shiny finish.

    Amps at boil

You need to chose wire and breaker size for the maximum current draw possible for whatever elements you chose. That being said, two 5500 watt elements on a 30 amp service is not possible. It does not matter what "percent' you plan to set your PIDs to.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Has anyone ever brewed one of these beers with 2-3 year old hops that were vacuum sealed and kept frozen? I just tapped a batch similar to my others (process and recipe) and it's awful. It tastes "old" with almost a medicinal flavor, no mouthfeel, and no super fresh hop aroma or flavor. I'm...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

You're pretty much exactly right. The big sanitary valve stays on top of the fermenter throughout fermentation. When ready to dry hop, you attach the chamber to the valve and fill it with hops. You then pull vacuum and fill it with CO2 multiple times. When you're ready, you open the valve...

    No oxygen dry hopping

It will work awesome with a 4" valve and then build everything else like mine but with no reducer. 4" valves are not as expensive as I thought they would be. There are a few around $100 on ebay.

    No oxygen dry hopping

So this contraption works great. I pulled 30" Hg in the chamber with the vacuum pump and pressurized it with 20 psi CO2 four times (suck, pressurize, suck, pressurize, suck, pressurize, suck, pressurize) before dumping the hops. I may tweak that part of the process, but I think it's probably...
