I brewed a Blueberry Hellesbock on Thursday night. I took a 21 oz. can of Comstock blueberry pie filling, pureed it in a blender, and added it to the last 10 minutes of the boil. I'll let you know how it turned out once it's finished.

I read on another site that on the average, this one user gets about 4 or 5 uses out of them before having to replace them. Do you think the green grolsch bottles would be as good to use as the brown ones?

I found a local orchard that presses their own cider. I was told that they do not add any extra preservatives, but rather use an ultraviolet process to kill off most of the extra nasties....question is, the method they use should produce a cider that yeast can grow in, right?

I just bottled my Vanilla Almond Brown Ale on Saturday. Mine tasted the exact same way your's did. I'm wondering though if miine has to do w/ the Almond Extract I used.....

I picked some up this past Thursday for when my latest batch goes into the secondary. I've read a couple different things. One was, in fact, right before you bottle, like when you add the priming sugar. The other, which makes a little more sense, is maybe about the last week in the secondary...

I use dry only, unless I happen to come across a kit w/ a can in it. I've never had any problems with them, personally. I mean, I'm no purist, or anything either. If you're concern is the lack of a lower gravity because they may be too sweet, I'd maybe toss in more hops or something...

Legally, you have to be 21 to buy homebrew suplpies. My HBS has a sign to that affect behind the counter. I've never personally been carded, and I always do because I look young. Maybe their logic is that anyone under 21 wouldn't be going the homebrew route....heh, if there's still doubt, buy...
