    summer concert beer

A great beer that I always do during the extremely hot summers in the az desert is the kiwit from the extreme brewing book. Its amazing. The only downside is that at times kiwi can be pretty expensive.

    Vanilla and oak question

I agree with pint4pat. For my vanilla porter, I cut up and add four madagascar beans and submerge them in rum instead of bourbon during the primary. However, I only add the beans to the secondary, instead of adding the whole mixture - rum and all. The vanilla flavor is not overpowering at all...

    Stuck quick disconnect

The quick disconnect is black. (It's a picnic tap). I unscrewed the port of the keg itself but I cannot get the disconnect off of it. The keg has been purged of all co2 and beer, it is completely empty.

    Kegging kit ?

Hello, I recently found a thread somewhere on the site for a kegging kit that included 3 - 5 gal. corny kegs, a 5 lb co2 tank, regulator, and all the lines, quick disonnects, etc. However, I cannot seem to find this thread that contained the website offering this kit. Just my luck, when i...

Sealing a Corny Keg without using CO2...

Sealing a Corny Keg without using CO2...

Ok I pressed the lever on the charger until it stopped injecting CO2. The lid feels like it has a good tight seal. So after I let the priming sugar carbonate for 1-2 weeks can I just chill it add a picnic tap on the out-port and use the rest of the CO2 in the cartridge to dispense my first...

Sealing a Corny Keg without using CO2...

Ok but the reason I was asking was because I just kegged it and when I pulled the trigger not all of the gas came out (as I expected). BUT as I took the charger off CO2 blasted out all over the place and consequently I dont think the lid sealed? Should I try it again and this time leave the...

Sealing a Corny Keg without using CO2...

So can I leave the portable charger on the in - port while the keg carbs for 1 to 2 weeks? Is this safe? Or will more carbonation from the priming sugar inside the keg cause the portable charger to become a safety hazard during carbing? Sorry if some of these ?s are redundant or common, but im a...

Sealing a Corny Keg without using CO2...

So it is possible to seal a keg using a portable CO2 charger? Should I just connect the charger to the in - port (while having nothing connected to the out - port) and start pressing the trigger? Would this release CO2 out of the cartridge into the keg of beer?
