    How To Store Hops?

So I am revamping this thread as I have some questions on this subject. How long will hops last in a ziploc bag in the freezer? Also, should I wrap a rubberband around the bags in order to further diminish the possibility of oxidization?

    Drilling hole for shank

Yes. I used a hole saw and after I put a smaller bit in the middle, it went relatively smoothly. I'd seen people use both bits in videos during research but I thought the hole saw bit would be much easier. Anyway, hopefully I will be able to post sum pictures of the finished product in the next...

    Drilling hole for shank

I am having trouble drilling the hole for my shank in my kegerator. Whenever I go to drill the hole, the bit moves around on me. Anyone know of any tips to help keep it from doing this? I've already scratched up the paint on it pretty good and am looking to minimize this as much as possible.

    Blackberry Witbier Recipe

I didn't want to take out the orange peel because I believe that it will be a complement. I also didn't want to alter it to the point where it would no loner be identifiable as a wit. I definately want to be able to taste the blackberry and not just as a hint. Would it be easier to use...

    Sanitizing Corny Keg w/ Iodophor

I recently heard somewhere that using Iodophor to sanitize a corny keg is not a good idea as it is harmful to stainless. Is this true? I have never heard of this before and, as I use Iodophor, I am concerned that I should not be using Iodophor in the future.

    Kegging outside of the fridge

Ya the first time i kegged, I used priming sugar and did not seal the tank. After 2 weeks of anxiously waiting, I was horrified that the beer wasn't carbed at all. All the gas escaped through the loose lid.

    Ginger question for Ginger Blonde

Hmm. I really like that idea of slicing it instead of shredding, making it much easier to take out at the end. Have you ever used this method with oranges and other fruits?

    Ginger question for Ginger Blonde

Im the kind of person that loves to use fresh ingredients as opposed to dried. It seems that it just tastes better that way. Ive only used ginger once and it was in the holiday cheer beer from papazian's book. That recipe called for 1 oz of freshly grated ginger. That amount was way...
