    MyPin TD4 - RIMS - Mash Control - P, I and D paramenters and setting

Thanks man. Had a feeling you could help me out there. Is it better to run it on manual mode or regular? When is the best time to run the auto tune?

Ahh, right on. Thanks for that. I just bought the XLR thing and hooked the stuff up. Was worried I missed something. http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=440

    PT100 Connection to panel suggestions?

If you get the one I linked to I don't think you would have to do any soldering. I didn't anyway. If you do decide to use different connectors and wire just make sure you get the appropriate thermocouple wire for your sensor.

    MyPin TD4 - RIMS - Mash Control - P, I and D paramenters and setting

I know this answer is somewhere in these threads but I just can't find it. Sorry for redundancy. I currently have a MyPin TD4 controlling my setup. Everything seems to be working perfect except the fact that once SV is reached, it continues to cycle the heating element. I'm not sure how...

Wiring question - RIMS - Pump - etc for big time beginner.

Wow! Thanks for that link, augiedoggy! I will order from eBay afterall. Great deal. Do you think it is necessary to get the heat sink? Also, that build to your link is quite a piece of work. Guess I'll just have to keep going bigger!

Wiring question - RIMS - Pump - etc for big time beginner.

Right on. Thanks to everyone for their input. I've now educated myself, via you nice folks, on lots of PID, SSR, electrical stuff and know what I want to do. My main goal originally was to have a situation where I could run my pump independently and then make sure my element shut off (would...

Wiring question - RIMS - Pump - etc for big time beginner.

Also, not that I don't believe you, but know why people don't use the Johnson? I've looked it over and I think it would cycle the element. Dunno.

Do you happen to remember the SSR you used?

Wiring question - RIMS - Pump - etc for big time beginner.

Right on. Thanks for the help. I'm thinking I might return the johnson controller and probe and go this route. I noticed you used the sly-2352 controller. I saw they make a sly-2372 that has a built in SSR. Is that something worth considering? I guess this still gets me back to my...

Wiring question - RIMS - Pump - etc for big time beginner.

So with that you can run your pump independently and your heater wont run unless the pump is running?

Wiring question - RIMS - Pump - etc for big time beginner.

Okay, so I'm not an electrician and really not familiar with different types of relays, switches, etc. I can wire most stuff at my house but the current problem I have ran into building my simple RIMS system has me at a loss so I'm searching for some guidance. I'll attach a photo of a really...
