    Dual Zone Keezer Chalange

The more I think about, the more I think I just need to go with the basic keezer set-up. I think a separate fermentation fridge may be the way to go. Just curious to see if it could be / had been done.

    Dual Zone Keezer Chalange

The Challenge: Create a keezer with one zone for fermenting @ ~65 and one side for serving @ ~40 degrees. Starting point: separate the two compartments with insulation. Possibilities: -Dual heater / cooler temperature regulator as shown here: Freezer Conversion *Does anyone know...

    Masterbuilt Electric Turkey Fryer

Very timely post. I picked up this electric Turkey Fryer last night at Academy for $99: Cajun Injector Electric Gourmet Turkey Fryer - Bruce Foods Online Store I did a test boil with a full five gallons of water starting around ~100 degrees. It looks as though max capacity is ~6 gallons...

Cheap & Easy 10 Gallon Rubbermaid MLT Conversion

Just built one myself. After three trips to the hardware store... no leaks! Word to the wise for those who bought igloo ten gallon drink coolers, just buy vinyl tubing (5/8 internal diameter) that fits snuggly over the nipple and sand it down until it fits into the hole. While I had no...

American Pale Ale Lake Walk Pale Ale

I'm brewing this one for my first AG batch. However, I have three 3 questions: What fermentation temps work best? What about toasting all the grain / none of the grain, anybody have experience with either? I accidentally mixed all of the grains. New to AG I am wondering what inputs to use...

    Is this a good deal?

Wow. This is my favorite set-up so far! Simple enough that I can do it, but with two chambers. Thanks for the link.

    Is this a good deal?

Thanks for the advice. I got the equipment for $125. Dual regulator and 2 kegs included. Goodbye bottling. :rockin: Now I have to work on the kegerator... any thoughts? I wanted to build a kind of all in one unit with separate chambers for lagering and fermenting but can't find plans...

    Is this a good deal?

A quick ebay search confirms my suspicion... not so great a deal. 2 Faucet Homebrew Kegging Kit, Cornelius Keg, 20oz Tank - eBay (item 140329578203 end time Jul-26-09 07:08:09 PDT) I think ~$100 is fair for a used system.

    Is this a good deal?

Hmmm... I assumed a kegging system would come with kegs. I see your point... and we all know what happens when you assume. I'll get clarification on the kegs and dual regulator. I'll probably throw a counter-offer back of $100.

    Is this a good deal?

A buddy of mine offered to sell me the following for ~$150 "- 2 keg homebrew kegging system (w/ 10 pound CO2 tank) This includes tubing, ball lock disconnects, and dual gauge regulator." If this not a good deal, what would be a good counter-offer? Are their any other questions I should...

    First Peach Wheat attempt.

Did you brew this yet? Curious to hear your thoughts as I am thinking about a peach wheat as well.

    Peach Wheat

It's summer and I snagged some unbelievable peaches at an orchard this weekend. My family normally makes something called "Peach Pit Jelly" using the skins and pits of the peaches. We boil the pits and the skins to make a syrup for the jelly. I thought to myself... why not use this syrup to...

    Wit Beer Seasoning Questions

Just .75 oz of coriander and bitter orange peel. I but them in a muslin bag and added them during the last 5 minutes of the boil and removed them. I wanted to be "less spicy" as I think some wit beers definitely overdo the spices and taste more like dishwater than beer. I was just worried if...

    Wit Beer Seasoning Questions

Good thinking with the gas / kettle! I think the kettle is a big part of it (mine is cheap enamel) but the burner is an even big part. Gas heat is much more even and if my next apartment doesn't have it, I may get myself a Turkey frier as well. Another thought: I may start adding the...
