    Spike Cyber Monday order disappointment

Looks like it got a little dinged up in shipping on the way to you. For $75 off I would take that in a heart beat. You can easily straighten that fitting. Screw in a valve or something and pull on it a bit.

Stainless sink upside down for vent hood

I would recommend just making out of plywood if you're on a budget. You could make it for way less than $200...

    Ss Brewing or MegaPot

An old adage comes to mind; You get what you pay for. Get the Spike. It's on a higher level than any other kettles out there IMO. You will not be disappointed.

Spike Brewing CF5 for 2.5g Batches?

I have a CF5 that I use for both 5gal and 2.5gal batches. The main reason I bought my Spike was to efficiently be able to do a half batch. I was able to track the below image down from the Spike website. This is what sold me. The temp coil goes damn near the bottom!

Have you reached out to Blichmann? I'm assuming they have tested the equipment and have that info.

Trub dam vs pickup tube for clear wort from kettle

I thought a trub damn was cool until I saw the below video on the Ss kettle. You see all the hop/trub going right around the trub damn, up the pick up and into the fermenter. I'm super happy with my Spike kettle and the side pickup. The stepped bottom is awesome for use as a BK. Fast forward to...

New Conical Selection, Ferment in Hot Garage - Is Jacketed Necessary?

The band clamp is my favorite part! It allows for the lid to be taken off super easily for cleaning/confirming the tank is clean after CIP.

    Anvil Brew Pump?

It looks like a re-branded MKII pump. I've seen the below video before comparing pumps.

    Best fermenter with temperature control

I'd vote Spike. I have a CF10 and love it. Can handle both my 5gal and 10gal batches with their temp coil design. Also I remember seeing them testing their heater in a cooler before but I can't seem to find the picture. It's an awesome unit and they have a ton of add on accessories that I can't...

Ss BrewTech Chronical + Pump Cart = Ultimate CIP

That's because mfabe turned out to be an SS employee. He made a new account where he actually discloses that; SS_Michael. He hasn't been around in awhile either by the looks of it. Too busy focused on the large big money equipment to pay us home brewers any attention.

SS Brewtech vs Spike - 7 Gallon Conical

I have products from both companies. Both are nice. I think Spike is higher quality; thicker material and better welds (done in the USA). Like Spike mentioned in the post you referenced they do 100% inspection on products and to me it shows when the products are side by side. I believe the guy...

So you got free equipment to keep from SS for a review or you have to return it? Thanks for clarifying!

Homebrewdude Review of Spike CF10 Conical

Hmm maybe I'm having some lingering affects from last nights home brew but the Spike looks much better to me. The spray pattern looks wider and more powerful. The other ball looks like it has about a 6" spray diameter. Also it looks like 50% of the spray would be directed straight up (towards...
