    Looking for corny kegs

Looking for ball lock or pin lock corny kegs. Need a good price on them. I can get them online for $60-$70 ea (with shipping) but that's a stretch on my budget, I would like to have 10. I can do local pick up near Salisaw OK (buddy there) or Hot springs AR (where I live) or if they can be...

    Smoked amber ale, sound good?

I ended up using 4lbs of smoked. Too much next time a lot less. But the rest of the recipe turned out pretty good if it wasnt for the overwhelming part.

    Smoked amber ale, sound good?

WOW! Waaaaaay too smoky, I was really just going for a subtle smoke undertone that would be great with smoked meat or BBQ. It turned out overwhelming for my taste. Trial and error, right? But when I do it again I will use 1/2lb of the smoked grain, which I might not call it smoked amber but it...

Need GF recipe, wheat that has no wheat

My friend can't have gluten anymore and I would like to make her a beer that actually tastes good. She loves a raspberry wheat beer but can't drink em now. Brewing GF is foreign to me, the thought of not having grain malt makes me quiver but I want to do this despite that. I have no idea how...

My beer comes out way too bitter

WOW! I'm still learning the hops thing too, I never used that much, that would make it pretty bitter. Generally I use about 2oz per 5gal for all of my hops, give or take depending on the brew. Easy calculation: Oz of hops x AAU=? ? X min boiled= y Y divided by 7.25=IBU The book I...

    Smoked amber ale, sound good?

I have brewed before, and done quite a few all grain brews but I have never used smoked malt and I didn't know the strength of the smokiness. I didn't want it to over power the other flavors. I'm gonna change 2row to 7lb and smoked to 4lb. I don't have a huge selection in Alaska (on vacation)...

    Smoked amber ale, sound good?

Awesome thanks for the pointer, this is the first recipe that was totally mine and not a spin off another so I want to make it decent without too much trouble

    Smoked amber ale, sound good?

The guy at brew shop made it sound like it was an overwhelming flavor, so I didn't know what the best amount would be, I will up it.

    Smoked amber ale, sound good?

Ok haven't done this yet, but was mulling around the idea of a smoked beer. Everyone does porters but I wanted to do something a little lighter since people in our area freak out when you can't see thru the glass. Tell me if you think this will be gross or need adjustments. 10 lb 2row 1...
