BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

WOW! I am definitely not a person that ever tries to save a buck, and screw someone's hard work. I just did not like my Tilts (2), short battery life, bluetooth only, ability. I guess I should look into the Tilt Pro? Then my Pills and older Tilts, would be just used for book-ends..... Thanks...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

OK, not sure if anyone asked yet, but will it be possible to port the data from Spindelmate (Rapt Pill), into the RPRemix GUI someday? I know there is only so much "free" time, you all have, to do the heavy lifting, and all I do is cut-and-paste the download .... Thanks @LBussy , and @Thorrak...

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I had to order mine from China.... They are really well-thought-out units, but I can not find anything that can penetrate my Ss Brewtech Unitanks, including the Tilts that I also have..... UGG!!

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

Kegland "supposedly" has an optional upgradable external antenna, but I can not find it for sale on their site, or AliExpress, etc.... Upon further research, Kegland says - " So until we find better external antennas we have ceased the sale of these inferior antennas. If however you would...

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

My Rapt Pills have both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and you set which one you want to broadcast with. I sifted through a lot of online information on weather Bluetooth will go through stainless steel fermentors (my unitanks), better than wifi, and have not found a definitive answer. They are default...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I assume you mean, that I need to install Docker first, and then download Fermentrack from there? I was installing it from my Raspberry Pi desktop, not on a Windows system

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I used Fermentrack a few years back with not problems downloading. Was going to give it a go again, and I get this Error - Not sure what a Docker Install is, as you said in past posts, so sorry if my programming ignorance gets in the way Will this command @Thorrak work? curl -L...

New SS Brewtech FTSs Touch: missed opportunity!

I also had great experience with Ss Brewtech, when I needed tech questions answered. Only gripe was when I asked them what connector they use on the RIMS, so I could buy the correct adapter, and use my 3-wire DS18B20 temperature sensors. They just said that they never tested this with other...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

As @LBussy said, that side of the Brewery, is usually done with mechanical controls, like the Inkbird P.I.D. and Solid State Relays. I never seen a need to use "advanced" controls that can ramp temperatures up or down over days/weeks, like on the Fermentation side. Your only in the Brewhouse...

Unable to install devices on BrewPi Remix

This has always been the case. If you have 2 temp probes, you will have to assign 4 of the "Detected" devices. 2 will be your 1-wire temperature probes, and the the other 2 will be Beer and Chamber. Leave the 5th and 6th unassigned. Maybe someone smarter than me, can tell us why there are more...

Unable to install devices on BrewPi Remix

@dlrdlrdlr Why are you not on the BrewPI Remix Thread? - BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again I am having a similar problem assigning probes. I see two different 1-wire addresses and two different temperatures (one I am sitting on to keep warmer), but when I "Apply", both temps revert to one...

Recirc or Rake System in mash tun

@odie , your missing an important point - Recirculation of wort, through a heat exchanger (RIMS), works great at maintaining uniform temperature profile. But there becomes a problem - The Mash can begin to stick, especially with adjunct cereal grains, and without raking, there now is a pump...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

@LBussy , you lost me a little bit. I am a Master Plumber, and HVAC Mechanic, and only try to remember, what I was very good at, back in the late 1970"s Are you saying - shut down the Pi, running the wifi, and Scripts/Graphs, and just let the Arduino chug along by itself (very good at that), and...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

It sure does, @LBussy . It is the only thing that looks and works great, that does not look like it was "puked up", as @day_trippr said of my "build mess". There is thermal paste under the Sinks, and a 5V fan exhausting. I "think" I tried this exact setup, with a naked RaspberryPi, out of the...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

HOLLY FREEZUP, BatBeerMan! You cant see, cause it was just frozen, but the CPU was clocking 1,200,000,000 ! I "normally" sits around 700,000 to 800,000 and may briefly spike to 1,400,000 The Temperature as it froze, was not too high 37,6C ? This seems to be normal - I could not get CTRL+ALT+F1...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Is my Pi CPU overclocking, and freezing up? I noticed that many of the times my Pi looses contact with the script, the Green light is constantly on, telling me it may be,froze in an overclock situation. There are a lot of commands to use, to see what the CPU is doing at idle, and while under...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Eventually, I got to get to the "bottom of this". Why I keep having dropped script connections, a couple times/day. I tried everything - Different Pi, Controller, SD card, new version download, different temp probes, new approved power transformer. You can see I have a good router connection...

Recirc or Rake System in mash tun

Bobby - I found that even on a small 30-40 gallon capacity mash tun that is very well insulated, there still is a significant difference in heat distribution. I pre-heat my MT that is double wall, very well factory insulated SsBrewtech tank, with about 10 degree water from the HLT, above my...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Lee, Is this the "goto" line command to download Remix? Your original line near the beginning of this thread, still does not work It took a little bit of searching to find this above (Page 15) I gave up trying to get my probes to "Apply" correctly and am starting over fresh BPR Thanks
