BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Just curious... What do you use the 8AWG- 16AWG for? Those gauge wires are perfect for WAGO lever nuts And WOW.... I like my Greenlee tools, but $301 for just the crimper tool.... I am sure it is superior quality.....

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

My ongoing problem.... Just trying to figure out what causes BrewPiRemix and less often Fermentrack, to loose the running script. I have a decent router signal and I unplugged my router extender to eliminate that as a cause One strange thing also happens when I do a - sudo systemctl restart...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I mentioned that in my post #753. The factory tips on the DS18B20 sensors are so short that I find the wago nuts clamping down on the rubber outside sheath instead of the copper wires, I stripped a number of them and resoldered longer ends on, but that is really tricky not to strip the very...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I don't know 1/1,000 of what @day_trippr knows about EE, but I do know hvac and enough Fridge, to get a pay check. Did you do the obvious (to me) and make sure your "Chamber" Fridge is working? Not sure if you overridden the fridge OEM stat, or what. But sometimes it is easy to overthink...

ORGANIZED Chaos ! You got me beat! You did say to possibly change the Resister, if you use what you are here - the 8 sensors on the left with 3meter leads :bravo:

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

NICE! I will post a picture this afternoon, what I use for my quick-disconnect, on my custom made (no puke), Controller for my SsRIMS. Quickly, it uses CESS 3.5mm Stereo Balanced Female Jack to AV Screw Video Balun Terminal (LW) and AUX Cord for Car, AILKIN 2 Pack 3.5mm Auxiliary Audio...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

The Fermentrack and RPR, are both working and assigning slots good, now that I have a totally new build (everything except the Pi B+ V3). It has been at least 3 years, since I used the Fermentrack, so I am in the relearning process of navigation through the GUI. Is the command to reflash with a...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I am on it @day_trippr . I did ohm out the resister that should read 4.59-4.6K, new, but the one I pulled out was 4.45. This is not too far out of spec. Can anyone tell me the best way to quickly mount the micro-tipped factory DS18B20 soldered wires ? I shaved a few of them and re-soldered a...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I do not know what was causing my Temp Probes to not apply properly with the 2 different temperatures and different 1-wire addresses showing up on a Refresh. So, I rewired a new never used controller, with new temp probes, new 4.7K resister, new wires, kept the Rpi and SDRemix card..... and I...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I will try to install a new UNO controller (generic Arduino), and 2 new sensors. Do a eeprom reset to factory, then refresh the list, and reassign the new probes. The RPi should have nothing to do with these ghost readings. I guess I do not have to uninstall the UNO that is shown above post...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Okay, I was having an issue with BrewPiRemix, when I assigned a second sensor, both temperatures would revert to the same value number. I then tried to run this Fermentrack and then assign temp sensors, and the same strange Assignment readings happened here. Not sure what could be causing this...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Okay, I got back to this and installed docker by - sudo chmod 666 /var/run/docker.sock Then the install - curl -L install.fermentrack.com | sudo bash Here is what I got after two attempts - One other question - Is it important to run this as "Pi" user, or root ? There is a question asked for...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I was trying to find out how to check, with a multimeter and a magnet (if one of the wires has magnetism), to check if my probes are not in spec. Only found out how to identify what type of sensor your have.... not how to test them, if Bloombrews toasted them ! I copied the SD card that is now...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

There has to be a bug in the most recent version of BPR. This is the 4th and last time I am attempting to assign Devices to there respective slots. Every time, when I "Apply" the second temp probe (clearly showing two different temperatures), after I hit the second Apply, both readings now go...
