    Approved for Kegerator

I'll be using sanke kegs for the time being. I have a 1/2 bbl 2 1/4bbl and 1 1/6 bbl to use until I can pick up some cornies. My folks just bought a place and they were siting in the basement. But I will also more than likely be using picnic taps until I can fab up something else.:drunk:

Yeah I know...The only local shop is wine oriented, and they think that because they carry a small amount of beer supplies they can charge outrageous prices...well...they got my money. I wasn't about to drive to anchorage (1hr each way) for $3 per oz. hijack over, sorry bytemyfoot.

    Approved for Kegerator

Didn't really need convincing. I don't really ask for much and I think she can see how much I enjoy good beer. That and I think she is tired of me cluttering up the pantry with empty bottles to fill;)

    Hops in Alaska

Joe, I'm 61.5N, but I'm definitely going to give it a try next summer. The worst thing that could happen is I'll be out 20 bucks for a few rhizomes. Thanks for the response, and I'll post up any progress/success with the growing next year:D

    Hops in Alaska

Growing season sounds the same boo boo. How is your yield? do you have a lot of under developed hops?

    Hops in Alaska

I'm trying to find a decent selection of hops to grow in south central Alaska (Big Lake.) 4-5 month growing season 50-75 degree temps, lots of daylight. I am a proficient gardener so the plants themselves shouldn't be a problem, but what strains would give me the best crop in this short...

Tell me how this sounds SMASH

First off. Hello everyone. This is my first post, but I've been lurking for a while now. This is my second attempt at making beer. My first attempt was a horrible failure. It was just plain nasty. Coopers IPA with 3# amber DME and 3# dextrose. Took questionable advice and as it turns out I...
