Second Partial Mash - aerating & OG question

Thanks in advance for anyone who takes the time to read this and provides some feedback. I have a question relating to aerating on a partial boil batch & its effect on OG. Little background first; i just finished brewing my 5th batch, the last two of which were partial mash coming up with my...

Unused 40 oz malt liquor bottles?

Well, if you want something drinkable I would suggest golden anniversary. Not by any means good, but it doesn't make you want to puke either, so its got that going for it I guess.... relax, have a home brew.

anyone have a good corona clone recipe

What is your fermentation temp on that? This sounds like its right up my alley. id like to keep things as simple as possible, no need to over complicate a beer like this. I could see it being a great summer beer for out in the yard..... relax, have a home brew.

anyone have a good corona clone recipe

Just cause the OP is gone does not mean this thread isn't helping people. A buddy of mine, who happens to be mexican, asked me if I could brew a mexican style beer. I told him I dont know but let me see. Searching for, and finding this thread has been helpful. my question, somewhat unrelated to...

    Kegging: Need Help

Def a leak. Unhook c02, purge by pressing down on the nipple on the c02 inlet. Reomeve lid and try to re-seat. I believe some lids can only go on one way. Try to turn it around maybe. relax, have a home brew.

Raspberry Cream Ale - cold crashing - kegging

I am planning on making a raspberry cream ale & have a question that i have not really found an answer for in searching. I am planning on adding fresh raspberries (boiled obviously) rather than extract to impart the flavor, i have read threads stating that its prefectly acceptable & will...

    Kegging and the wife...

My mom bought my dad a kegerator to reduce the bottles around the house, but he doesnt brew and consistently re-use bottles, so they can add up very quickly there. So i kind of second the idea of less bottles. as far as consumption goes, i find when i have a keg visitors drink alot more...

    Kegged beer goes FAST!

I have decided to keep plenty of my favorite affordable commercial beer on hand to help assist in preventing this. Unfortunately it only seems to be preventing me from drinking mass quantities of the home brew & does nothing to prevent the wife & friends from consuming....doh.

Specialty Grains - What to do when it hits a boil?

hehe, this made me laugh, im sure you didnt mean anything by putting her last, but it speaks to how consuming hobbies such as brewing can be at times. im very interested to hear feedback on the volume of water for steeping as well......

    Irish Moss and Extracts?

For what its worth,my lhbs sells prepackaged kits of "conessieur" beers (basically recipes generated by local brewers) & their irish red kit comes with irish moss & lme. I've made this beer once & it turned out clear but head retention did seem to be lacking. Its a tough call for me though...

    Regulator turned off.. reads 5psi?

i believe c02 just gets trapped in the regulator, unhook it from keg, close tank valve and open regulator valve/outlet and it should release that pressure and drop to zero.

    Genesee Bock

Check out the reviews on beeradvocate, pretty favorable and accurate in my estimation.

    Genesee Bock

no, they only sell it in cans, the most awesome cans ever though.... i think they still sell regular genny products in the 16 oz pounder bottles, i imagine those are the bottles youre refering to? if you get a case of regular 12 oz genny bottles, you'll be pleasanty surpised with the...

    Michelob Original Lager

correct me if im wrong but arent the michelob lager & amber bock bottles pop top? (i dont bottle so i generally dont remember this stuff & cant be certain) If so, those two would be great choices if your looking to score some bottles cheaply and not hate the product inside.

    Southern Tier

i cant second this strongly enough, its a fantastic beer.

    Genesee Bock

Decided to bump this thread since the Genny Bock Beer just hit stores this year. Price for me in Buffalo was 7.99 a 12 pack - two dollars more than the last few years. Still worth the price.... of course, being from rochester ny i like & support genny products, so im prolly not the best critic.

    Force Carbing

If you have space in the kegerator I would suggest just getting a regulator with 2 outlets. Hook 1 up to the beer your serving and 1 up to the beer your carbing. relax, have a home brew.
