What instructional video do you want to see?

IMHO I think instructional brewing videos have been done to death. You can go to YouTube and just do a search with one word, i.e sparge, and get thousands of results telling you the same thing and then offering their review on whatever beer they are drinking. If you really want to do a video...

Just finished kegging my first beer, questions!

Sounds to me that as the beer in your keg absorbs the Co2 the pressure will decrease and then the regulator compensates for the loss and increases the pressure.

    Confusion With Altering Water Chemistry

Does anyone have any experience with the product "5.2 Stabilizer" to adjust their ph level to always be 5.2? It seems like a very simple solution to adjusting ph......almost too simple.

Making the best of a bad situation

Thanks for the responses guys. I was leaning towards kegging it but I wasn't sure if the smaller volume would have an adverse effect on carbing.

Making the best of a bad situation

I'm gonna cut right to the chase and spare you the boring details of my tragedy. I was able to salvage 2.5 gal of a witbier I had brewed today. I was originally planning on kegging this but with only 2.5 gal salvaged would I be better off just bottling it?

    Why pasteurize?

I asked my wife who then told me that we were told to pasteurize it because it isn't pasteurized. Smh! It's safe to say that I will not be pasteurizing it but I will be collecting any debris. Thanks to everyone for the input. I hope this helps the O.P as well

    Why pasteurize?

At the time I was (and still am) VERY new to mead so I just took her word as gospel. I will find out from her for sure.

    Why pasteurize?

I was recently given 10lbs of honey by a local bee keeper/honey maker person to take a shot at making mead and she told me to make sure I pasteurize it. So after talking to her and reading the forum I have no idea what to do. Lol

Dougie is there a pump mounted to your frame somehow or how do you go from Mash Tun to Boil Kettle?

    Efficiency?

I use a web based efficiency calculator. It takes the ingredients in your recipie, your gravity readings and any info you have on your equipment and produces a figure as a percentage. I just started using www.brewersfriend.com which has alot of different calculators, databases, etc. It seems...

    Efficiency?

In a nutshell, efficiency refers to how much of the potential you are getting out of your grain bill. Essentially the higher efficiency the more your equipment is getting out of your ingredients. In turn, when your set up is "dialed-in" you require less ingredients because you get the most out...

Kettle Tube/False bottom; vinyl tube with holes?

For a mash tun manifold it is best to use CPVC. Just make sure not to glue the joints and it easily dismantles for cleaning. (first post woo hoo!)
