Are Vampires just a higher class of zombies?

I've never really liked WW, although I've played in a couple games. The mythos is great, but the actual game mechanics are pretty weak in my opinion. Too much fluff and not enough crunch for my taste.

What styles can you not drink?

In general I don't like sour beers although I've had a couple that weren't bad. Wouldn't buy them though. I like German hefes and Belgian wits, but American wheats are just too bland for my taste. Fruit beers are generally something I dislike unless the fruit is understated. I'm fine with...

    preventing swamp cooler mess

Because it's right beside the tap when I need to add water... but the real reason is that that room isn't used for anything else and has no windows so the fermenters stay out of the way and in the dark.

Holy Crap I've got a lot to learn!!

Getting started is the hard part, and it does seem like a lot to learn, but once you get into it it almost becomes second nature. You quickly learn what does and doesn't work for you, and based on that you can upgrade gear as necessary; you don't have to go whole hog at first (and I don't...

Looking for Feedback on Blichmann Engineering

I think I have one of everything Blichmann puts out for brewing except a Fermenator. Getting a Therminator with a March pump and moving to ported Better Bottles was one of the best things I've done for my brewing, it makes life a lot easier and I'm done in less time. I'm liking my 10 gal...

    preventing swamp cooler mess

I use a small Rubbermaid container big enough for the fermenter and sit that in the tub so it doesn't get the tub gross. I used to use the whole tub but I end up using less water this way as well.

Look out, Miller Lite is now triple hopped.

"Frost brewed" is like "blast processing" with the Sega Genesis, or as someone mentioned earlier, "Corinthian leather". It's just a marketing term that means nothing. At least I DO have to give props to Miller for even mentioning a real brewing process rather than the standard BMC style ads...

Tape Strip on Outside of Carboys

It might work to cover it with clear packing tape to try to seal it. I use the swamp cooling method, but I just drape the towel so it's not over the thermometer. I did kill one on the past by getting it wet repeatedly.

Are Vampires just a higher class of zombies?

You could make the case that Frankenstein's monster is a zombie, but it depends on what version you're going off of. The one created from old corpse parts could be considered a zombie, but the method of creation implies that it's a construct like a golem or a robot. Alternately, the version of...

Are Vampires just a higher class of zombies?

A liberal application of 3.5e rules now an again helps me wipe the WTFery of the 4th Edition rules from my mind :fro:

Are Vampires just a higher class of zombies?

To continue the nerdgasm and post whoring, you could kind of equate vampire and zombie tactics to the Protoss and Zerg in Starcraft. Vampires are small in number but they're really powerful and hard to take down, but zombies come in expendable hordes and just do the equivalent of a really slow...

Are Vampires just a higher class of zombies?

I'm not really versed on the White Wolf mythos, but I think the origin of vampires in that RPG system is Cain of Cain and Abel. He was cursed by God to wander the earth forever in darkness, and any of his spawn would carry the same curse.

Are Vampires just a higher class of zombies?

Has anyone seen Ravenous? That movie isn't about zombies or vampires, but it has elements of both. Cannablism on the wild west frontier in the 1800s is shown as being kinda like vampirism without the undead part, getting super abilities and crap, but it retains the good old...

Are Vampires just a higher class of zombies?

Vampires are nothing like zombies. When a dead creature is animated by Animate Dead (3rd level cleric spell), it can be made into either a skeleton or zombie if it is mostly intact. Zombies act as if they are under the constant effect of a Slow spell, have no Int score or skills, gain DR...

Has this ever happened to you and am I a beer snob?

I've got the wrong beer once at Capital Ale House, but it wasn't the bartender's fault. They have an asston of tap lines, and one had been connected to the wrong keg on the prior shift when some kegs were swapped out and handles changed - the barkeep even commented that they thought it was the...

Are Vampires just a higher class of zombies?

Vampires are a kind of greater undead that have a lot more abilities than your standard zombie. Also, vampires tend to be chaotic evil, as opposed to the neutral evil zombie. Frankenstein's monster is a flesh golem, which is a construct and not an undead. While it has no Con score like...

    Pumps

The non-self-priming kind like March pumps use an impeller. That kind of pump can't pump air, so it has to be primed (the pump head must be filled with liquid) to push anything. Impeller pumps can push decently but they have practically no suction so you have to make sure you have a constant...
