Original Doom and Wolfenstein 3D. Spent many an hour running along walls mashing the spacebar to find secret rooms.

I loved the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood. Some of the puzzles were pretty difficult. Some other good ones in the same style were Loom and The Dig.

Forgot to mention Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe. DOS WWII combat flight sim. Fantastic back in the day.

Ninja gaiden black (xbox) Diablo (pc) And zelda series on wii and Switch. Currently working through BOTW. honorable mention for games such as Myst. (Lighthouse was a personal fav in the genre) Then again, I wasted far to much time on the ncaa football franchise too.
