I measured the tray that sits at the bottom, so there is a LITTLE play, there may be enough room to squeeze it in. The door is also concave, but I think thats more for the big boys. What size circles are those, I can cut some out and see.
From my understanding pressure release in the keg can be important to get less pressure in the keg. Is it still simple to balance out tank/keg in a pin lock?
I really dont care what others think, my dumb friends wouldnt know the difference anyways :).
I jumped on what I thought was a good deal on a kegerator last week, and now have a sweet one sitting in my apt. I have my 2nd all grain getting ready to go to secondary, and feel the clock ticking to get things in order for the kegerator.
I read that there is no huge difference between the...
Just finished bottling up a Light Lager and an Irish Red Ale. Tried some new stuff like dry hopping/ no secondary. Bottled with the dangling wand tip I read on here. Everything went great.
Anyone else wanna admit to accidentally topping off and capping the beer they were drinking during...
I tried it last night and I am wondering if the beer is over-carbonated.
It is VERY carbonated, almost like a soda. I have not had a beer this carbonated with just sugar, its very spritzy-ish if that makes any sense. Tastes good other than that though.
I have several bottles and a...
I got the tap-a-draft system and did a few bottles with my last batch. I am trying to force carbonate one, and the instructions said it would take about a week. I am wondering if there is any harm in trying to pour out a pint now to see how it is going. It has been about a week, and I cant...
I had this problem with a Honey Brown Ale I recently did, 5 consecutive beers were completely flat.
Go through and shake up each bottle and let sit another week or so. Then pop one and check it out. It worked for mine! Good luck!

I am branching away for the store's extract kits and putting together one I found out of a homebrewer's book. Ive ordered most of the ingredients except for Ascorbic Acid. I was thinking of brewing today, but obviously I would be missing this from the beer. Is there any in-store substitution...
It was an extract kit, so hopefully it has the minerals it needs. I am planning on pulling it out today and bottling it. I picked up the tap-a-draft system so im excited to try that out. Ill taste it and see.
Would I run into more problems if I did a kit that just has LME?
I have a 5 gallon stout in its secondary and I used all Distilled water. I am not sure why I did, and have realized this was a mistake. It is ready to bottle, but I was wondering if there is anything I could do at this step to correct the error.
Any tips? or should I bottle it up tomorrow...
