I just moved to hammond and live about 5 minutes away from it now. I'm there at least once a week. I've only had one bad encounter with a waitress there, but then again you'll have that anywhere you go. Love the beer and everyone is almost always friendly!

I think it's hard to look at it as a beer, and it is definately out of my price range, but I was wondering if anyone has ever tried it, and if there are any bars that will let you get just a glass of it, so you can try it without having to buy the entire bottle...

I actually like it for a lite BMC beer. When I bought it I thought it would have pop-tops so I was a little disappointed with that, but all and all not a bad beer. One thing I would like to add is that no BMC beer will ever be as bad as the miller lite one that had the lime and salt in it.

BBQ ribs and a double IPA, life doesn't get much better than that!

Favorite would have to be Capital Breweries Island Wheat Ale. The wheat that they use is grown on my buddies land in Washington Island, WI. Since I've seen the wheat that they use being harvested while we're up relaxing and drinking beer at his place is probably why I'm a little partial to it...

I'm still learning how all grain brewing works so, does anyone know if I can use the spent specialty grains that come with a northern brewer extract kit to make these treats? Like a wheat extract kit, or an irish red extract kit?
