I think that is a typo and suppose to mean 240v, and not 240w.....

I picked one of these up to control my boil kettle thinking it would more convenient than using my phone as the timer... But now I'm not so sure. I will report back after I use it next weekend. Also, I haven't tried wiring an alarm to the pid.......

I have the high gravity set up and like it a lot. However, I think in the near future I'm going to make an all electric system myself. There are a lot of great wiring plans on this board that are easy to follow.

Excellent thread! Brewed twice with my rims system! Second brew was 10 gallons of dry stout and I got 85% effeciency. Not quiet expecting that.
