    Troegs Nugget Nectar Clone

Kegged 5 gallons of this last night because I only had one kegged cleaned and was short on time. OG for my brew was 1069, FG is 1010. The hydro sample tasted amazing and smelled even better. Can't wait until I get it cooled down and carbed up. Now I have to see if I can find some of the real...

    Troegs Nugget Nectar Clone

Been busy and lazy when I have had a few minutes. I haven't dry hopped mine yet and it's still in the primary. I'll dry hop tomorrow and keg next Sunday. Based on what Natron008 is saying I'll likely do 66%, 16%, 16% if I get to brew this in the future. Smelled and tasted so good going into...

Imperial Amber Ale Recipe...yah or nah?

Looks pretty good and similar to the Nugget Nectar clone on the board. I tweaked my Nugget Nectar clone to do a 50-50 split of Munich and Vienna very similar to your recipe here. Hoping yours comes out great! I hope to brew mine this Thursday.

    Special B?

I'd agree with the folks that say Special B isn't the same as Crystal 120L. Based on actually chewing on both, they had very different flavors to me. The Special B I got from my LHBS had much more going on and was much darker than the Crystal 120L.

    Troegs Nugget Nectar Clone

Also interested in hearing how close the clone of Nugget Nectar is to what they brew. I'm planning on brewing one similar to the Zymurgy one but with vienna and munich based on the information from Troeg's website. My Grain bill is looking like: 37% Pils 31% Munich 31% Vienna 2%...

No more hop shortage here...ebay score!

I also ordered 1.5#'s from this seller and waited two weeks, no hops. I e-mailed him and he said sorry they went out today. Another week and a half go by and I finally received 0.5 pounds. I waited another few days and e-mailed him asking where the rest of my won auction was. He said sorry I...

    challenger hops

I love challenger in a nice English style ESB or Porter. This thread has me craving a good ESB, which are hard to find around CT and I've yet to come up with a recipe that I've really enjoyed. Hum... guess I should get back to work on that.

    Chocolate-Coffee-Raspberry Imperial Stout

Just a few small comments. I've been toying with the idea of trying an espresso beer as well as wanting to use raspberries but haven't thought about combining the two into a single recipe. I've been thinking when I do the espresso, I'll add a espresso puck or two into the whirlpool just after...

    Stone Smoked Porter--Need help!

I tweaked a BYO recipe to make a smoked porter that was inspired by Stone's. I really enjoyed the beer, here is what I pulled together for the recipe. Guess I'll have to tweak it next time to get Simcoe in there! 75 Minute boil, 5.25 gal 13.15# Maris Otter 1.4# Crystal 80l 0.75# Chocolate...

20 feet too short for a chiller?

I also purchased some tubing from ICS Industries. They had the tubing to me within a week, I would do business with them again and have no reservations about recommending them as well. Hoping to fire up my 23ft CFC very soon. Right now the city water here is freezing so it should be no...
