Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Just did my first batch and the condenser worked very well. I have a 3750W BoilCoil and had the power set at 50% (Brew Boss Controller). I measured 0.75 gallons of boil off. I peeked in through the side of the lid and the boil looked fine. I had hops up the side of the kettle, but it was from...

Single Vessel eBIAB in 11 Gallon Bayou Classic with BoilCoil

I brewed my first batch and all went well. With 10lbs of grain and 6.75 gallons of water the level was at the 8 gallon mark (4.5" to the top of the kettle).

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I'm just going to add mine at flame out and turn the water on after it's been in there for 10 minutes, I'll also have the kettle whirlpooling during this time.

Single Vessel eBIAB in 11 Gallon Bayou Classic with BoilCoil

Thank you I estimate I'll have 3.5 to 4.0 gallons above the the false bottom. I think it will be ok for the brews I do (10 to 14lbs of grain). High gravity brews could potentially be an issue, but I'm not sure. It will recirc continuously.

Single Vessel eBIAB in 11 Gallon Bayou Classic with BoilCoil

Thank you. The condenser is 1.5" and the same as the ones detailed over in the condenser thread (1.5" Condenser Parts List with Links) with the differences of needing the 90, 1.5" hose barbs, stainless flex (20" Vibrant Performance Interlock Hose), an additional weldless flange (if using a...

Single Vessel eBIAB in 11 Gallon Bayou Classic with BoilCoil

Thank you. That's not something I've tried to determine as I don't brew anything high gravity. I'll post up the volumes when I brew a batch. I am curious myself with the height of the false bottom being at the 3 gallon mark.

    Brew-Boss Rebuild

I've reconfigured from the two vessel no sparge to a single vessel recirc: Single Vessel eBIAB in 11 Gallon Bayou Classic with BoilCoil. The panel remains unchanged.

Here's the Brew Boss step file. It's been through a test run, not an actual batch yet. The test run went well.

Condenser-Boss Accessory Port Mount Steam Condenser

Ended up making my own. It's 1.5" and through the lid. It's covered in this Post in the Boil Kettle Condenser thread.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

No idea, I must have tried a 2 1/2" at first.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

@enormous13 looks like I made a mistake, what I used was not 1" as I thought. I used one of these that I had: 1/2" Hex Nipple. Length isn't listed on this one but the one I have is 1 5/8". I'd imagine they're probably a standard length give or take?

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

It's a 20" Vibrant Performance Flexible Interlock Hose. I ordered it from Summit, $20. (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/VPE-84027).

They'll also be available at most any of the online shops. The nipple I used was from a weldless bulkhead.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

In my collection pot the water cooled to a steady 120F. No idea what the actual exit temperature from the condenser was though. I imagine it was up what others are seeing. My parameters: 6gpm nozzle, 40 - 60psi (well), 45F water, 50F ambient
