Thank you, @TBC! Can't wait for these to chill...just gonna be tough deciding what to crack open first.

Even on the somewhat larger breweries, it helps to check their website. They'll usually have a beer locator or distributor list. For instance, I've seen the occasional Victory beer here in CA, but I've only heard of the other two breweries, not seen their product. When I look at the Troegs...

No outright dislikes, but I am more into most of the "classic" styles (e.g. British, Belgian, German) than their more modern (often hoppier) counterparts.

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

The same way you connect to change settings, there's an option in there for uploading a new firmware.bin file.

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

According to iSpindel Assembly | Open Source Distilling, follow the leftmost trace from the USB port, which looks like it puts your diode just up and to the right of the USB oddly enough. That first piece the trace hits on the left is a capacitor. Also, if you follow the trace on the other side...

So non-fruited sours are good? Definitely plenty to choose from either way (even if every other beer is a hazy, I'm sure you've got plenty of that). For the smoked beer experience, I just drink on the back porch and take in the atmosphere.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Do you have any brewpi sensors, or just the iSpindel? The way the ThingSpeak support is currently set up, it is meant to push temp data from a brewpi, not gravity data from an iSpindel. If you're like me and only using the iSpindel so far, there aren't any brewpi sensors to put into that field...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

The error is on brewpi_to_push_id, which should come from the fourth option here (Brewpi to push). It looks like it wants a BrewPi device, not a gravity sensor. As for the battery question, that's voltage. It's a nominal 3.7 volt battery, but max charge will be around 4.2 volts, and if I...

4 extra iSpindels (newly built) for sale

With the caveat that it depends on the battery weight. I ended up with some batteries that are 49 grams and other at 44, and they have a very different balance point in the iSpindel because of that.

The Jeffry reset closes a circuit between the RST and G pins on the D1 mini. This just duplicates the function of the reset switch on the D1 itself. I'm not familiar with the mikmonken board, but it if those aren't broken out anywhere on the board, you should still be able to wire a reed switch...

Using a recipe from beer smith?

The problem with other people's recipes in your brew software is you don't often have feedback. For all you know, it could have been a thrown together experiment that didn't turn out well....I've found that most brewers don't tend to go back and add tasting notes on those recipes, so you don't...

Need help, buying a kegerator and kegs. What to buy and why

I've used them and they're pretty nice if you only rarely have a sanke keg. Not sure what you mean by tank, but they screw onto the sanke tap (and also the back side of a shank).

    Diluting mead that’s too sweet?

And the point is actual sweetness and perceived sweetness are two different things. If your mead is finished, diluting won't do anything (and possibly not even if it isn't dry yet but stalled for some other reason). But, you can offset perceived sweetness by balancing it with acid or tannin.

    Diluting mead that’s too sweet?

Did you use any nutrient? The alcohol tolerances of yeast aren't hard and fast rules, more like averages. But if your yeast didn't have any nutrient in addition to the sugar, it's likely to have stalled out early.
