    Growing Hops in Ecuador

To my knowledge, there are no Hops "indigenous" to the "Motherland".........Hence the "imported". Mine are not really prospering yet. They pop up, then die back, but they are very healthy when they sprout!

    Hose shutoffs from HF.

But he's using them for "hose shutoff". He's trying out his "speed control" on the pump, for flow control.

Monster Mill 2 issue w/ hopper

Ask Monster Brewing Hardware what the problem might be. Fred will help ya' any way he can. https://www.monsterbrewinghardware.com/store/pc/contact.asp Looks to me: Wrong hopper, if the panels are dragging the rollers. Also looks like the panels that nest the mill body, are too wide, and...

Yes, the pic posting is a PITA. And with the forum upgrade it was said to be easier, but I've not noticed it....... @passedpawn

    Glass Carboy Excitement

This! When cleaning, and pouring the water out of them, it's best to insert a hose through the neck, to let some air in, whilst the water flows out. Yes, I've seen a side collapse on one, while doing this.

    Glass Carboy Excitement

Coating the outside sounds a semi-viable option, but unsure if you could ever keep water from between the glass and the coating. Would love to see it, if someone tries it!

To wrap a Coil on the outside or to coil inside my fermenter?

My vote: On the outside. That way, you create no crevices to hide stuff on the inside of the fermenter. Will the coil be removable, if on the inside? If so,I still vote for the outside, and covered with an insulation blanket of some sort.

Is it possible to buy large silicone rubber bands?

How about here.......You would have to make your own "band" from a sheet or a strip, and bond it together @ the ends. Clean it well, and silicone / RTV will bond it together. https://www.mcmaster.com/#silicone-rubber-sheets/=1aye20a

Push Line Cleaner with air compressor not CO2

What if, you have no "tank", and are going straight from the compressor head, ( oil-less), and using the corny keg as the "tank"?

Two Unrelated Questions Concerning Equipment & Sanitation

You sprung for some good hose and Q D's, I'd go with "oetiker" style clamps. Low profile, and no worm gear clamp tail hanging out there in the breeze, to snag stuff, or skin. https://www.mcmaster.com/#ear-hose-clamps/=1awdwrz

DIY Counterflow Chiller - Jaded Cyclone Clone

There was mention of using PVC for the shroud, and that was the route I plan to go. I plan to copy one seen in "Zymurgy" mag, I believe it was, a few years back, but I can't find it now! To the best of my recollection, it required no soldering anywhere near the PVC, but only for any couplings...
