    Pics of my first IPA

meatwad, Nice job on your first IPA. I just brewed this one last week, so I haven't tasted it yet. What AA were your cluster hops and how much of each did you use? I was following BYO's clone magazine and it only stated .5 oz at 60min and .5 at 30. I upped it to about .7oz for each, but it...

    Sierra nevada torpedo clone

Exactly. The reason I follow a clone recipe is because I know it is a good start for a very good beer. I'd almost rather my beer tastes a little different just for variety.

    Sierra nevada torpedo clone

Now, to finally follow up on my AG batch. After 2 weeks of primary, I transferred to secondary and added dry hops as described earlier: .5oz Magnum .75oz Crystal .75oz Cascade (couldn't get Citra) After only a week, I was out of all other beers in the kegerator so I kegged this rather...

Sealing the spigot hole on a plastic fermenter

Thanks for the posts. I'll be getting a new spigot so i can use it for something else and probably a carboy to replace it for fermenting.

Sealing the spigot hole on a plastic fermenter

Turns out the spigot had a huge crack at the base of the threads. I guess that's what you would expect from cheap plastic. So now all I want to use this for is a primary fermenter, and so I have no need for the spigot anymore. I'd prefer to have a more permanent cap than just a spigot that...

Sealing the spigot hole on a plastic fermenter

I originally had a hole drilled in my True Brew bucket for a spigot because I thought I'd be doing bottling. However, I quickly moved on to kegging and have no need for the spigot. I figured there was no harm in just leaving it there, but I was very very wrong. The plastic spigot on the...
