    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

Brewed this one and I'm currently serving it on nitro. This is a great session stout and I have not experienced the thinness others have referred to, which could be attributed to my doubling (2lbs) of the Cara-Pils. Great stout!

Kegerator Build - Do i have everything ?

I can answer simply by saying: "no," you do not have everything you need. :) Just kidding. Your serving list looks pretty complete, but I bet you'll find you'll need extra components when building the collar. I ended up buying a new miter saw, router, clamps, and other odds and ends. lol...

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Jalapeno Cream Ale

Thoughts about racking this onto a cake of US-05? I have a red ale that will be finished with primary and should have a nice cake left (OG 1.052)? I've had much better success with dry yeast and would like to stick with Safale if possible.

My shameless Jester rip-off Keezer build

What size is your drip tray and where did you purchase it? I'm having a difficult time locating an affordable tray that's also wide enough. Your keezer looks great!

    Help with secondary regulators

Thanks for the quick reply. I should mention I already have a 3-way manifold with gas lines and ball-lock connectors. Basically, I want to replace the manifold with a battery of 3 secondary regulators, but I'm unsure of what's needed to connect the battery of secondary regulators to the primary...

    Help with secondary regulators

Hi folks, Trying to get my kegging setup complete and I mistakenly tried to skimp and purchased only a primary regulator without concern for serving at different pressures or force carbing. Could someone help me order the proper fittings, hoses, and clamps in order to add the below...

American IPA BierMuncher's Outer Limits IPA

Absolutely! A few days following my last post, I was preparing to keg and took another gravity reading. The (final) FG was 1.016! The AE kept working as noted earlier in the thread. At any rate, the beer is now dry-hopped in the keg and I forced carbed for two days at 30psi. Earlier today I...

Moving to a larger primary, ok? #sillymistakes

Hi folks, Brewed a Stone Double Bastard Clone yesteday. OG was 1.1 and some change. I ended up with around 6 gallons . . . . . . into a 6.5 gallon bucket. I "knew" I should have, at the very least, affixed a blow-off tube before going to bed last night. Well, I was awoken by a large...

American IPA BierMuncher's Outer Limits IPA

Just to update. I added amylase enzyme (AE) and have, by all indications, finished fermentation at 1.019. Final calculations (6 gals): OG 1.070 FG 1.030 FG w/ AE 1.019

American IPA BierMuncher's Outer Limits IPA

Thanks for the repeated follow-ups. I suppose I should have read the thread more carefully and mashed at a lower temp. Oh well, I now know more about the effects of mash temp on fermentables. I'm slowly bringing the temp up to 70* and will give it a stir and a few days to see what, if any...

American IPA BierMuncher's Outer Limits IPA

Same as OP--159* for 45 mins. I had a vigorous fermentation for 4 days (needed a blow off tube) and visible airlock activity for 6 days. I'm surprised yesterday's gravity reading didn't reveal more. At any rate, further suggestions/advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

American IPA BierMuncher's Outer Limits IPA

Hi folks, brewed this excellent recipe a week ago today! Due to my in-attentiveness, I ended up with 6 gallons at 1.070 OG. After seven days at 64* I'm only at 1.030. I pitched two packs of S-04. Should I increase fermentation temps to 70* or add some amylase enzyme? I was hoping to use the...

    AHS: Double Bastard (AG) Clone?

Has anyone brewed Austin Homebrew Supply's Double Bastard clone in all-grain? I'm considering this as my next brew (next weekend) but there's just one review on their site and the user substituted a different yeast. I suspect it's a pretty straightforward recipe, as most of Stone's...

Asking for HBT's help in purchasing keg equip

Thanks for the replies thus far! Keg connection is certainly high on my list, but it's difficult to piece together a system from their website. My GE will only fit 5 (4+ 1 on the hump) with a collar. From my research, it appears pin locks are a no go due to space restrictions. I appreciate...

Asking for HBT's help in purchasing keg equip

Hi folks, I'm hoping to begin my keezer project within the week. I purchased a GE 7.0cf chest freezer that's popular among many members who do keezer conversions. I will likely go with a collar and would eventually like to have 4 taps, one of which is on nitrogen. As well, the ability to carb...
