    Converting the masses

I live with six guys (I'm in college, it's not weird). We have always been known as the drunk guys, now that I have started brewing the past year it's gotten even better haha... However, three of my roommates are strictly light beer keystone light piss water drinkers. They have all drank my...

    Citra/Cascade Pale Ale

I'm thinking about switching the golden malt out for pilsen malt. I would like to get a lighter color. I suppose this will sacrifice some maltiness and mouthfeel. Any suggestions on blending the two or how to make this as light colored as possible?

    Citra/Cascade Pale Ale

So cut the pearl and add more citra or just move the citra to the pearl slot? If i added more citra it might turn into an IPA, but that's fine. Love citra :D

    Heavy Citrus Wheat

Ended up being a pretty big success. Starts out slightly sweet with lots of citrus notes and finishes with a hint of cinnamon with light hop bitterness. REALLY happy with it.

How many batches have you ruined and how??

I recently dumped about a quarter of my fat tire clone. It was just too sweet for the style and something else was off. I drank a lot of it but it just got to the point where I had to dump the rest. I also did the drunk brew day :drunk: with a dunkelweiss about a week ago and added 2 pounds of...

    Custom Tap Handles and Name

I have only been brewing for a year and a half now. I haven't every thought of a name for a brewery but I just built myself a keezer and it has three handless taps. I am a PR major at Wartburg College and know how to do some cool stuff with design so if I come up with a sweet name I think i...

    Dunkelweiss... A classic

So I ended up brewing this one the other day and made the awesome mistake of getting tanked on my pineapple hef and newly kegged fat tire clone (both turned out great btw). I took all of your suggestions with the choc. steep etc. However, in my drunk state a higher abv and honey note sounded...

Finally got a hydrometer so I had to test out the big wheat. sitting at 1.023 right now, still getting some bubbling so she is on course. When doing so I couldn't help but take a little taste test. Things are going well so far, taste a bit like a normal wit up front has some spice in the middle...

Thanks guys. I like the ones I have made, but they were missing something in the middle. chocolate malt sounds like a great remedy for that.

    New keezer!!!

I am almost done with my new keggerator/keezer made from a chest freezer. I have actually never kegged a beer before and am super tired of the constant b.s. that goes along with bottling. However, does anyone have any advice on what i need to do differently when kegging as opposed to bottling...

Getting Ready to brew another dunkelweiss. It is the standard extract kit from northernbrewer.com. Any advice on what I can do to get it to be a bit more robust or any tricks that you have done in the past that have turned out well?
