Twice the hops and twice the yeast in an APA

I looked up yeast cake re-use and it seems that washing it is the preferred method. Could I pour new wort in the fermentor immediately after the current batch will be out? The only difference in the wort will be the hop content.

Twice the hops and twice the yeast in an APA

Thank you. I will definitely not to that. :D Thank you. This was actually a partial recipe; all I'm using from Mr. Beer is the fermentor, but I won't complain about an IPA. I actually love Cascade hops so I'm sure I will like it. What I'm mostly disappointed about is that I wanted to...

Twice the hops and twice the yeast in an APA

Hi all. Please allow me to introduce myself: I'm an idiot. Now that the formalities are out of the way, I'll share my situation. I split the ingredients for a 5-gallon APA batch in half as I'm fermenting in a Mr. Beer container, but I threw in the whole amount of hops and yeast. Now, I...

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

I'm on page 94 of this thread and thanks again to all who contributed. My dilemma is that I can only bottle on day 14 or day 21. From what I have read so far, 21 days is preferred (7 primary + 14 secondary), but I don't have a secondary fermentor. Temperature where the fermentor is located...

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

Thank you for the advice. I'm on page 75 of this thread now. The more I read, the less worried I am about how it will turn out. :D

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

First off, thank you to all who contributed to this thread. As the common trend seems to be, I got a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas and pitched the yeast on the 26th. Reading this thread, I found that many people suggest not having the lid screwed too tight to prevent explosion so I loosened up...
