EBIAB planning build vs buy controller.

BIAB control panel is real simple. Its one pot so it needs one PID A few things your never going to need a temp alarm unless you like gadgets. I have an estop on my panel that will never get used. When the sh!t hits the fan I'll be freakin out way to much to remember to hit an Estop...Plus...

Sanke 1/6 Barrels vs 5gal Ball Locks

Nothing except opening and closing the keg an extra time. The thing is the line cleaning only uses a small amount of liquid like a half gallon. Plus BLC line cleaner is strong stuff. For me its easier just to use the little tank and clean the keg separate. If you concerned about the spear just...

Sanke 1/6 Barrels vs 5gal Ball Locks

I dont even think its possible to take apart the spear. I just take it out shoot some water down it to rinse it out a few times and thats it. I've never had a clog or obstruction in the spear. The only downfall would keg hopping that some people do. I dont know how you could do that with a sanke

Starting kegging from scratch, want to do it right the first time

If you go the sanke route you could get this low profile coupler. The hoses come out the side and its only like 3/4" over the top of the keg. No hose bend My kegs wouldnt fit in the kegerator without them. With them they slide right in...beautiful thing You could probably find them cheaper. I...

Sanke 1/6 Barrels vs 5gal Ball Locks

I bought this. A little pricy yes but its heavy thick plastic and will most likely last forever. I've had mine for 6 years...how much time is it really being used, 5 minutes a month? It makes cleaning your entire system so easy. Fill tank with cleaner Hook up coupler just like tapping a keg...

Sanke 1/6 Barrels vs 5gal Ball Locks

Get the sankes 100% I've used both. Sankes win hands down. Never leak so never get funky and are all around better. None of the O ring issues or clogged dip tubes or lids that may or my not be sealed I've used the same kegs for years. My cleaning method is this this. Open the keg and shoot...

Any tool made for the job will certainly make it easier...buy once cry once...I just use a screwdriver and pliers because I have them and have done it so many times its easy at this point The key is getting ALL the pressure out, which is as easy as sticking your thumb on the ball. Even a little...

First Two Brews on the new eBIAB System

I brew indoors and stream is a concern. I switched to a 30 minutes boil a while back and had no ill effect on the beer and is now my normal routine...something else to try How does the steam killer work? Is it worth it?

First Two Brews on the new eBIAB System

75% is average and your at 72% I wouldnt worry about it. There is no rule that says "let me get the best efficiency" Just adjust your grain a tad. Grain looks good. Try sticking a gift card without raised numbers between the rollers and slide it up and down. Adjust till the rollers move with...

You wasting your breath. I've been advocating sankes forever. It falls on deaf ears. Cornys are "The homebrew thing to do"...outdated, inferior, troublesome thing to do....but homebrew thing to do none the less
