I have a dual flow regulator so I purged the entire keg. Tried using blue painters tape over the coupling that was being welded and it just melted. Switched to high heat aluminum tape and that didn't work either. Finally crammed steel wool in the coupling but I would not try to pass these off...

I had thought about made to order. Thanks for the input. Also thought about Brutus 10 stands or similar since I have a mig and Tig welder but those are certainly a higher end item. I just like having projects to keep me busy. Thanks brewgeyver.

I guess it comes down to preference of welded vs. weldless. As a welder, I know what I would choose but that's just me. Seems that most go with weldless and that is understandable.

Maybe wait until your done with your program to decide what metal to use? You may find that your more comfortable with mig than Tig or vice versa. Tig welding takes a lot more skill than mig and stainless is more difficult to Tig than mild steel. Don't even get me started on aluminum Tig...
