Yeah, Dogfish bottles are good. Labels even come off easy.

I'm not loving that success rate, but if you've still only had those green ones break that's more encouraging. They do seem thinner. Thanks. And regardless of what I go with I'll definitely bag each bottle in case of breaks.

My understanding of 'clean' is that there is no gunk--essentially, if it looks clean it is clean. That provides a good surface for sanitizing. You MAY need a cleaner of some kind to get it there, but in my experience, you usually do not. So, to clean my CFC I just run hot water through it...

What about the mash? Anything different between the two? Or grind? This reminds me of a question that I thought of the other day that relates to this: If you get more sugars out of a mash (higher efficiency), does that necessarily mean it would be darker than an equivalent brew were you had...
