Haze in my pale beers only?

Perhaps. I add 1.5 oz to my pale ale toward the end of the boil (0.5 - 10 min, 0.5 - 5 min, 0.5 - 0 min). I don't dry hop though. Right now on tap I have a brown ale to which I added 1 oz at 5 min and it is crystal clear. puzzling.

Haze in my pale beers only?

What really confuses me is that all of my beers except my pale ales are crystal clear after a week in the keg.

Haze in my pale beers only?

Everytime I brew a pale beer (SRM 8 - 10) the beer is very cloudy for a few weeks, yet when I brew anything darker it is crystal clear within a week of being in the keg. I brew all my beers with S-04 yeast and tend to drink them very young - 1 week in the primary, 1 week in the keg, then...

    Another Foam Problem. HELP

Cut the lines back to 5' and you will be fine. My kegerator works great without a blower pushing cold air into the tower. I get a little foam as soon as the tap opens but then its nothing but a beautiful pour.

    FWH only in Scottish Ales?

Thanks. There is a good bit of conflicting info out there on FWH'ing. I have read that bitterness is equal to a 20 minute addition and when I tried it I did FWH in addition to my bittering hops and the beer wasn't "super" bitter.

    Scottish Ale Question

This sounds pretty cool. Do you need to mash extra grain or just collect extra wort?

    FWH only in Scottish Ales?

In Ray Daniels Designing Great Beers he quotes a brewing book from the mid 1800's saying that most Edinburgh brewers "put in the whole of the hops at the time when the wort is pumped into the copper." First Wort Hopping, right? Wouldnt this require much more hops to achieve the bitterness than...

    IPA hops question...

Challenger is a great flavor / aroma hop that gives a very spicy aroma. I'd use it as a 10 minute addition to spice things up.

    Need Hefeweizen Tips

I made a great Hefe about 6 weeks ago with the same grain bill listed by Mysterio. I used WLP 300 and fermented at about 68 degrees. Great bannana flavor and still good a month later in the keg.

    Cornie Temp / Level Indicator?

I have them and they are great. I don't remember where online I got them, but plenty of places sell them. You need to wipe them with a cloth soaked in hot water to be able to read the volume (it makes the red stripe go white and it quickly changes red up to the liquid level). The other day I...

    Help with leaking weld-less fittings

Get it welded in. I brought my weldless fitting and pot to a shop and the guy just about refused to only drill the pot out for me because he said the thing will leak. $40 later the nipple was welded in and I couldn't be happier.

trying to get away from recipe kits

Ive been brewing for 8 years now and I think one of the best ways to begin formulating your own recipes or figuring out what grains and hops to use is to read...a lot. A magazine like Brew Your Own is great because they have articles about different styles and include recipes that can help you...

    Is Cutting Torch Oxygen okay??

The oxygen should be fine. I get my CO2 from a welding supplier. Plus, I don't think bacteria can survive in pure oxygen.

CO2 Regulator really hard to adjust

What's the harm in taking it apart? Disconnect the gas and open it up. Mine worked fine for a year then suddenly pressurized my keg to 30 psi. I opened it up and re-seated the diaphram inside and it works like new.
