    Green Flash - Palate Wrecker

    I like it a lot more than their standard Imperial IPA, but others think the opposite. I'm with you on this one though, very solid balanced DIPA.

    For pubs Churchill's, Pizza Port Carlsbad, and Encinitas Ale House can't be beat in North County and Toronado, O'Briens, Small Bar, and Blind Lady Ale House are some good spots in the downtown area.     Really the only two places to go for good beer is Congregation Ale House and Beachwood. 33 Degrees is meh and Yardhouse is the same as it is around the country.     If you are staying at the Westin by Ocean Blvd and Long Beach Blvd Beachwood BBQ is a few blocks up the street. They have around 7 house beers that change regularly and 24 guest taps. Good food and better beer, I go there weekly and can't recommend it enough. As far as actual breweries go...

    3 Fonteinen Oude Gueuze is my hands down favorite with Russian River's Supplication in close second. Love that tartness.
