    A hot fermentation will give off bad tasting esters from the yeast. Heat is somewhat of a catalyst for yeast, the hotter it is the more vigorous your fermentation will be; to a point. To hot could potentially kill the yeast. You will want to ferment around 68F-72F. For about a week or so...

    i sometimes use powdered dishwasher soap....that plus hot water works for me let em soak for a bit even over night..use a cooler so you dont tie up your sink.

    I love Dry Yeast

    It just seems to work better! in the past ive waited days for liquid yeast to start fermentation... but seems every time i use you dry yeast i just pour it in, an hour or two later its chugging away... why is this? i never really given much thought ..

    what are you using for a sanitizer? Sometimes chlorine based sanitizers can leave that taste. That was happening to me, switched to iodine and all is well. try using store bought water...

    go buy apple juice from your local market...enough to fill your carboy make sure its non-persurve and add yeast and you'll have cider in no time! use a cider yeast. they tend to leave a sweet taste instead of a dry wine like flavor... this will really work...seems to simple but it will...

    Most if not all of the breweries listed, distribute though out New England. You shouldnt have a prob finding them.
