Any element "switch" boxes out there?

It was sad to see that brewery scrapped... But bigger issue right now is I have a ton of parts and trying to figure out how to use them. I can't even tough the automation valves I got yet... thats for another day

    Herms in a tube?

I think the column was used most recently as a yeast propagation tube hence the external temp management coil

    Herms in a tube?

Part of my switch to electric brewing seems to be a push toward HERMS vs RIMS that I was using on my gas fired brewery. My HLT is a bit "cluttered" already and drilling and welding new holes in it is possible, but I have another idea. Since I am already recirculating the HLT. can I pass the...

Any element "switch" boxes out there?

Here is the history of this RIMS tube https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/irims-is-here.530574/

Any element "switch" boxes out there?

interesting idea, I wonder if the 1250 watts would be enough to keep the HLT hot for cleaning without the main burner firing. That would bring panel requirements down to a 30amp panel. save some cash, though only $100 on the DIY route.

Any element "switch" boxes out there?

I also have a choice of my current 120v RIMS or this 240v monster.

Any element "switch" boxes out there?

Just what the previous owner built in. to remove it would require sealing off the holes too. Trying to decide the path of least resistance...

Any element "switch" boxes out there?

Kal just got back to me in a separate email said it will confuse the PID on his panel. I wonder if using an EZ boil for the BK/ HTL boost would have the same effect. https://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=53&products_id=769

Any element "switch" boxes out there?

this diagram is a bit off as its using a 120V second element... but I guess that would work it I kept the RIMS loop in there otherwise swap the N for B2 for 240v 4500watt element

Looks like something like this would work? Bryant DPDT 3025 toggle switch middle off.

Any element "switch" boxes out there?

I just acquired a set of kettles with boil coils installed in them. Two coils in a Keggle HLT(9000watts) and one coil for the BK(4500watts). I currently have a gas fired electric recirculating RIMS ala Brewmagic style brewery. I would love to get rid of the gas burners. I haven't found any...

    Beer gas mixer?

in theory. but both Co2 and N2 would be set to the same pressure and the needle valves would control the Flow of both components. But still don't know much about it.... Or even if it works.

    Beer gas mixer?

I just picked up this unit... and I kind of understand the concept. But does it work at low and high flow? I figure you need to balance the input pressures(how precisely?) and under high flow I'll be able to set the needle valves. does that setting hold under low pressure maintenance head...

Stiring after chitosan, when can i rack?

Was this a bad question? I'm starting to wonder if the wine was possibly not fully degassed(didn't use a whip, just stirred for 2 mins).. It doesn't appear to have cleared the way i would have hoped.

Stiring after chitosan, when can i rack?

Have a kit wine that we are fermenting in my conical. We just added Kieselsol stirred waited and hour and then added chitosan. waited another hour... Now it wants me to stir it all up again? Should I rack it before stirring up, or rack an hour, day, week after the final stir? Then I...

Brewers Hardware 15 Gallon Jacketed Unboxing

I actually just solved this issue this month so that she could do a wine batch. The jacket does chill all the way down the cone. But, you need about six gallons too cover the temp probe and sample valve port. So for $20 I got a 22" thermowell that mounts in one of my two spare ports up...

DIY chiller control, can I just use the temp probe?

It did power up in run mode even after being off for a few hours.... I think We are going to leave all this stuff in tact and just keep the temp probe warmer than 64*
