1 1/2" SS Rims Tube For Sale

The temp probe I liked was 1/4" liquid RTD I think from auberins. Dial thermometers are usually 1/2", but those don't connect to a PID. In any case, if you need a 1/2", just don't use the 1/2" to 1/4" bushing.

1 1/2" SS Rims Tube For Sale

I am selling my 1 1/2" 304 stainless steel rims tube. I purchased this almost 2 years ago with the intentions of building a rims system. Unfortunately, it's been sitting in a box ever since. These parts were never used (other than dry fitting them to dream). Parts included: 1 - 1 1/2" x 6"...

    best way to add body?

I have checked the temp of a poured pint, and it matched the keezer's 55*F. I guess I will have to brew a few and decide. There seems to be a million variables. I just don't want to lose that nice dry finish. The next challenge is to brew and imperial stout that ferments out a little more. I...

    best way to add body?

I recently brewed a stout that tasted perfect. It was just a simple 70/20/10% stout with an irish ale yeast. I mashed at 151 for an hour. It was force carbed at the proper temp and pressure, but it was very thin. What is the best way to add body without changing the flavor? Mash a little...

Thanks for the info. I do like the 6" burners. I will be buying a new reg/hose, and will have to do some more research on the best option.

    Yet Another Brewstand build

Everything looks great! I am about to upgrade the burners on my stand, and wonder if you might be able to help me. Are yours low pressure? How many psi is the regulator? Are you adjusting the flame with tbe yellow valves and shutters only?

    can you paint plastic bottles?

I was just wondering if you could paint plastic soda bottles with krylon fusion without affecting your brew. My thoughts are to use the carbonation cap and take a 2 liter instead of a growler for some brew that won't be opened for over a week. The idea to paint is to block light from ruining the...

would this work? steel workbench for brewstand

That's a negative. As a recent Ohio State Alumni, AZ is like a second home. I'm really in the Buckeye state, and smiling from ear to ear this morning! My Brownies are on a 3 game winning streak too you know!

are there any 2 vessel all-grainers out there?

i was thinking of a rims with 2 vessels. I like the idea of a smaller footprint, and the simplicity of it. I am currently doing the cooler, keggle, and bucket batch sparging method, but i want to build/buy a brewstand.

are there any 2 vessel all-grainers out there?

It seems like most all-grain builds are 3 vessel rigs of different tiers. I know that with a bucket you can collect your runoffs and use 2 main vessels. What would happen if you were to add your sparge water (assuming you have room), recirculate everything in your mash tun, then transfer...

would this work? steel workbench for brewstand

I was thinking you could cut a hole and mount the burners below... but as i type this i realize that would impact the load you could have on the surface. as for the height... what is the popular height for a single tier brewstand?

would this work? steel workbench for brewstand

For a guy that doesn't weld/build much... could this work as a brewstand with minor modifications? It is rated at 1000lbs capacity with casters, 2000lbs without. If 3 15.5 gallon keggles were full, the liquid would weight approximately 400lbs, and the keggles another 100lbs...
