For sure I don't know, I only have 1 regulator and it's set to 12psi right now because there is a keg on tap currently. So it pushes the starsan out at that psi, I disconnect and then bleed some off but can't be sure what psi would be going into the fermenter

Braufessor, with all the different things you've been trying with these beers, I'm curious what your process is of transferring from fermenter to keg now?

When I have it setup like mongoose's there is definitely pressure in there, it's wanting to blow the lid off the BMB, but no transfer of beer. If I open the prv all the pressure is blead out from keg so none gets diverted to top of fermenter.

Can I clean that out while the keg is full?

The fermenter is higher, sitting on the chest freezer and keg is on the floor. I originally was using co2 from the keg diverted back to top of fermenter. I did this, exact same setup as mongoose from earlier in this thread, for my first few transfers and had no issues. This time after that...

just pay attention to shipping. HopsDirect is more expensive than YVH. For a lb of azacca from each, its actually $.26 cheaper for me from YVH even though the cost of the hops are $6 more.

You will be fine to move it. Your yeast are just getting active and they will use what little oxygen you introduce. Most people shake up their fermentor to oxygenate the wort prior to pitching anyway. Post fermentation oxygenation you want to avoid as much as possible.

Little update. Beer sat in primary for 30 days, just transfeted to secondary to sit for a few months. FG ended up being 1.03 putting the beer at 9.19%. A little short but im happy with it. Sample tasted really good already cant wait to see what its like in a few months.

Yeah no issues here, ive never mitered before so i just cut mine square and did a simple butt joint, still plenty strong although not as aesthetic. Spray painted it a hammered copper color and i love it, eventually ill do a skirt around the bottom the same color.

Just took a FG reading and added second round of dry hop on my red NEIPA. Good melon aroma and flavor. OG was 1.080 and FG came in at 1.022. A little higher than i wanted but i hear that isnt uncommon with fist gen Conan. Should be a good one!

Many people get increased efficiency with a finer or double grind.

Im confused, you ended up with too much wort so you went into beersmith and increased the boil off rate to something that would have given you the correct amount of wort?
