    Show us your Kegerator

Well once I get it in the bar it will be close the the height if I just put in a tower (thinkin about 18" of elevation). Running into shouldn't be too much of an issue since it will be a low traffic area. If it does prove tough I will just install some guards. Now to buy all the materials. Looks...

    Keggin Phase 1

Unfortunately behind that wall (where I now live, old pic) is the outside so can't really do that. But I DO appreciate the enthusiasm! I am thinkin just a sanyo conversion for now. Maybe in the future sell that off and build a keezer when I have more room.

I am hoping to build this into my liquor cabinet (see below) where the top of the fridge will be up against the bottom of the main shelf. I'll be lowering the smaller shelf to hold it upright. So after is all said and done I can have those taps pretty close to an easy serving height while still...

Oster 5.0 on Clearance at Best Buy for $159.

Mmm... That sounds VERY tempting... How tough do you think it would be to drill through that door? Big enough for 2 cornies and co2 tank inside?

    Keggin Phase 1

Aww, makes sense. Now it looks like my best option is a sanyo or similar fridge to convert and add taps to the door. Only will be able to get 2 beers on tap for now but I can expand and make a new setup when I eventually move into a place with more room.

So I have now looked through this entire thread and i noticed that no one with a sanyo or other mini fridge setup has installed the taps to the door. This a matter a preference or functionality? I am hopin to find a good deal on a mini fridge to do a door install sometime soon.

    Keggin Phase 1

So I measured the space in the bar set. If I remove the shelf I have about 38h x 24w 21d .. Most of the the kreezer setups would be an inch or so too wide. Depth I am not too concerned about since I would have to have it stick out a bit anyway to setup a roller system. So it looks like I am...

    Hello from Seattle

Sounds like we have a pretty similar story. In Seattle, new to brewing, got the christmas nudge. I just started my first batch last night. We'll see how it goes. Good luck!

    Keggin Phase 1

I like the idea of a kreezer but the issue is that ideally I would like it to front load to work much better in my bar setup (pic below).. Also, what is up with the collar? Is that put in just make make more height for the kegs or can you not mount the taps directly to the side of the freezer...

    Keggin Phase 1

Yeah that was what I was asking. Doing more reading I am actually considering going the keezer option. Wouldn't a keezer freeze the lines or can most be turned down to just above freezing?

    Kegerator: Build or Buy?

I am looking into my kegerator options right now and reading through here Keezers sound interesting. I want something about the size of a mini fridge since it's in an apt that looks nice. More taps the better. Question on the keezer, wouldn't that be too cold or can you dial them back a lot?

    Keggin Phase 1

I just brewed my first batch of beer last night and it's in primary ferment for a couple weeks. Of course I am already thinking about bottling/kegging. I am thinking I want to go the keg route but can't afford the full setup yet so I am thinking of getting this: Brew Logic Dual Tap Draft...

    Brewing First Batch Tonight

Well I filled up my my fermenter last night. Couple questions. My primary is an 8 gallon plastic but only 5 gallons of wort. Will that extra air mess anything up? Also, When do I dry hop if I am avoiding secondary fermentation? Thanks, you guys are great btw!

    Brewing First Batch Tonight

I have been hearing that sanitize sanitize and sanitize are the 3 rules to brewing. So I will definitely be on top of that. As far as straining the hops out. I assume that doesn't include the dry hopping. I am planning to just dry hop the primary then bottle. 911, Nah no P-car reference...
