    Did I screw it up?

    It should taste similar to your store bought kombucha. If it smells or tastes off, as in really unpleasant, pitch it. Not sure about the spoon, i only use wood or plastic. Be aware that even if everything is perfect, home brewed kombucha can have a cleansing effect. Start slow with just an oz...

    Coffee Kombucha

    I have a batch of very tasty coffee Kombucha. I'm ready for a secondary fermentation. Anyone have any suggestions on flavoring it? It's got a lovely mild taste as is but I'm open to trying new flavours.
