Using wheat flour for that NE Haze

I would be extremely surprised if one teaspoon of wheat flour in the boil would have any flavor contribution at all. I've used a couple of tablespoons to ensure wheat beers remain hazy till the end of the keg and have had no flavor issues. Must be something else, how old is the sample you are...

Is "Ultra Barrier Silver Beer Hose" worth it?

I use the silvers without any issues. The benefit I found, at least with my setup, I only need 6 foot lines using 10 psi @40F to balance with 630SS and only 4 foot with 650SS flow-control faucets. Is there really any benefit to them over plain pvc? Hard to say, but since my line length is...

    Shandy

I've had good results with the KISS method. Make a blonde like Biermuncher's Centennial Blonde and add a grapefruit soda like Squirt to taste in the glass. Very tasty...

Anyone still doing 90 minute boils with pilsen malt as a base?

I've done 20+ batches with Avangard Pils as my "2-row" base, 60 min boil, never a problem...

    Sorry, never looked at that.

    Don't crush where you brew?

Yep, that's it. The amount of water I use is 1.5% x grist weight, spray some on, mix and repeat. I like to let it sit 20-30 min after spraying before grinding. If you grind too soon or use too much water it will stick to your rollers. Sounds a bit fussy, but it is quite simple once you do it a...

    Don't crush where you brew?

For me, conditioning the grain prior to milling significantly reduces the amount of dust generated...

    Brew Boss Systems

Try lengthening your boil, this will require more water to start with and hopefully will get your grains covered. If you need to you can recover some of the time by boiling harder at first, then dialing back to your normal power level, obviously it'll take some trials to get that dialed in or...

Thinking about switching to e-BIAB with Brew-Boss

I think a possible solution would be to extend the boil to 90 or 120 min which would require you to start with more water to begin with.

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

Out of curiosity how did you dry-hop this batch? I typically use pellets in a very fine mesh bag (Wilser) and even when fining with gelatin it would be weeks before my beer would get that clear.

    Brew Boss Systems

I have had the app crash while editing a couple times, but never during a brew session. I'm using a Lenovo tablet with the app previous to the latest. I have the same diptube as snicklefritz and mcgimpkins, no issues...

Out of curiosity what is your boil-off rate @70%? I get close to 1.25 Gal/hr @55%.

What are you using to determine these volumes? Do you have Beersmith or use any of the online calculators?

I'm set to .039". There was some discussion in a mash re-circulation thread where people were trying .050" with the thought that it would allow for a higher volume/speed of re-circulation and good efficiency. IIRC there were mixed results for those that tried it.
