Ran out of pbw can I use one step to remove bottle labels

Agreed. Never used the oxyclean on them, however I don't disagree on his point in using it. I just fill my utility tub with hot water and then dunk all of the bottles in and let them soak while I'm doing something else (generally on brew day). Just make sure you get enough water in the...

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

I realized I hadn't added the videos showing usage of the hopper. Updated in the first post. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/homer-hopper-grain-mill-466413/#post6001363

    Dream Car! PICTURES!!!

There are many cars on my list, but this one was just announced today. The E39 M5 is still my favorite looking however. Somewhat attainable when I have time to work on it. Always remains high on my list

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

Ok, 6th part of the project. This is the final assembly and fit of the hopper assembly. You are basically customizing the fit of YOUR hopper to YOUR bucket. All buckets are not created equal. Part 6: Final Assembly The last post will basically be moving the CAD files to a new location...

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

Here is the fifth update showing how to make the hopper panels. This is a fairly easy step of just tracing templates and cutting panels out of 1/8" hardboard. Part 5: Hopper Panels The next post is for final assembly and fitment.

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

I forgot to include a link to part 4 to go along with the pictures. Updated now. Anyone else have a try at this design?

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

Lucky you found a funnel that fits exactly. Immediately I'm thinking there must be a way to seal that interface with an o-ring or gasket and do a poor man's plastic conical fermenter. Sound like another project to add to the list unless someone beats me to it.

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

Here is the 4th update to create the mill box. This is the base that the hopper panels will attach to. You'll notice that I removed the thumb screws on the MM2 and used recessed set screws instead. Part 4: Mill Box The next post will be for the panels and it will almost be done.

Cool. I'd like to see what you come up with.

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

The JSP mill might be really tight on fitting in the bucket. It appears to be about 11" long, whereas the MM2 is about 7" long. I think you'll probably have to cut windows on both sides of the bucket for clearance to the mill and custom tailor the hopper to the JSP mill. Would anyone with...

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

Here is the third update showing how to make the wooden base. This is probably the easiest part of the entire project. You are basically going to cut out the circular shape, drill through holes for the screws and cut a window for the grain to fall through. A router or drill press will be...

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

OK, I went ahead and put all of the PDF templates into a zip file. It's currently located on the Introduction post: Homer Hopper Introduction All printout templates are currently available in a zip file at the bottom of the blog post. Without having a post to look at, this should at...

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

I haven't posted the info on the actual hopper yet, but it seals for the most part. It is a drop in hopper. Some grain inevitably passes by, but probably no more than most mill setups. If you look at the first post on the blog, I've got pictures of that piece.

Glad to hear you like it. I'm traveling today, but I will post links to the rest of the drawings late tonight. Hope that's soon enough.

    Removing stickers/glue from kegs

I would second the heat gun and goo-gone or acetone along with an old credit card as a scraper.

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

Here is the second update showing how to modify the bucket. Basically it is cutting the window in the bottom, the mounting holes for the Monster Mill and a side access window to attach the drill to the mill. I've got the printable template link on there so you can transfer to your bucket...

    Primary Pale Liner (BeerInBag)

Update to my post. I actually have a blog post all about how I use them in my brewing: Fermentation Bucket Liners My correspondence with James Spencer and "Paul the Toxicologist" was one of the first topics discussed on the podcast. Homebrew Toxicology Pt. 3 (Starts at about 5:30)

    Homer Hopper Grain Mill

I've been using a hopper made from a Home Depot "Homer" bucket for a while and finally got to getting the first post done to introduce it. I'll have more posts that will show how to make each part and then also have some CAD models and templates to use to make your own. Here are the advantages...
