Ive never had to compensate for head retention by adding wheat malt. And I'd go with carapils before wheat anyway. I forget if you mentioned or not, has this always been a problem or is this something new

are you pitching enough? Is the boil hard enough to denature LTP1? Hows the attenuation? Have you recently switched cleaners? Are you shaking the shieet out of your kegs during carbonation? Dont do that Are you positive its all clean?

Dude...... Its not how much you spend, its that every time you drink a pint that you brewed yourself, you're NOT spending 5 or 6 bucks at the brewery. So technically .......a corny keg drank by you at home is just like saving $200 - $240 every time. Minus the $20ish spent on ingredients of course
