Anyone had to solder MPT fittings on CFC?

Yes you can. With soft solder you can solder most all dissimilar metals to each other except alum.

Anyone had to solder MPT fittings on CFC?

Get a short piece 1/2" copper pipe not tubing. It should fit snugly over your straight tube . Solder that and then a 1/2" pipe of your choice should solder on over that.

    Natural gas to Propane

Each jet has it's own orifice. Your NG jets are to big for propane. All the jets you want to use will need to be replaced with propane ones. Probably cheaper to get a propane burner.

    Ideas for natural gas conversion

No holes in burner. Put the burner underneath the mounting bar then the flatbar under the burner. Then a bolt up through the flatbar and the existing bar clamping the burner between the two. A piece of 1/2" black iron pipe long enough to get outside your frame then your valve. I use a ball valve...

Pump question -It may be blasphemy but

March and Chugger spell reliability. I went through 3 of those cheap 12 volt pumps. They always give up right in the middle of your brew. If you decide that is the way you want to go make sure you have a backup one. You are going to need it.

    Ideas for natural gas conversion

It sure will. I have that burner in the same frame. Just need a short peace of flatbar a bolt to clamp the burner using the hole where you took the old burner out.
