    Your "uh oh...." moments....

I may have added columbus instead of azacca as a dry hop in my neipa, still a damn good taste but I can smell the hint of columbus everytime I take a sip so I know it's there

    Your "uh oh...." moments....

I'm sure there are laws against this.

New beer yeast could make hops irrelevant

Yeah completely agree, with the additives that go into things like food I'm fairly sure I would rather pay more for hops than add some of them.

New beer yeast could make hops irrelevant

Does this mean we would need additives to preserve the beer when using this?

Can someone explain hydrometer to me?

That's a good point, I generally pour my samples move the fv back to its spot and sort anything else out I need to do while it settles, this way I know I'm getting a true reading.

Biotransformation Dry Hop charge.. Leave it in? Pull it out?

Thought so. The yeast are going to do the same cleanup in the bottle that they would do in the fv so no real need to wait that long as far as I can see obviously ymmv. I had the first taste test of my neipa yesterday which I brewed 14 days ago today. Probably one of the nicest beers I have...

Biotransformation Dry Hop charge.. Leave it in? Pull it out?

How far away is your bottling from the start, my last neipa (I'm guessing that's what your doing) went into bottles on day 7. Bio hops at 24 hours in and 2nd charge 72 hours in when fermentation had died down. I used the same nylon mesh bag for both and just opened it up to add the second lot...

    Camping Beer..

Seeing as your moving up to biab very soon you might be better off using this as practise for doing biab

    Don't Do That.

Been zapped and shocked many times with it on, they have about 3% of the conductivity of copper so while being conductive it's very hard for it to pass a large amount of it into you. Spend most of my time elbow deep in servers so maybe should take it off

Filter system (not RO) for brewing?

If not you can pick up replacement ones quite cheap normally

Filter system (not RO) for brewing?

Odd question, can you detach the one from your fridge (looks like a tube normally on the back of the fridge) and run some piping through it with some hose clamps

    Worst. IPA. Ever.

Greene King ipa. Not sure if you guys get it in the states but they are a mid sized brewery in the UK that owns a few pubs and the ipa tastes like it came out of the pot wash out back

    Strawberry off flavor??

What yeast did you use? How long ago did you make it? Never dump it until you are sure it's infected

First batch and I’m already hooked

Grats on a successful first brew, that's what will keep you doing this. As far as head formation and retention goes the good old John palmer how to brew site will help you out.
