Ever get people asking for a "lighter" beer?

i make lighter color beers from time to time. BM's Cent. Blonde for example. there are some people who come over who would never drink a "darker" beer. they can be just as good as any other beer.

I just got 5 lbs of wild honey....

could do a honey wheat, check the forum recipes, or some places like northernbrewer.com recipes breakdown whats inside. they could at least give you some ideas. only thing is, you wont get much honey flavor by using it. i've added a pound or two to a Pale Ale a few years ago, it just kicks...

    need some help

good idea...i ended up finding some unused rubber gloves that insulated my hands from the heat for a few seconds...long enough for me to blow into the hose to unblock the grain from the bulkhead and slip the manifold back. next time it might be smarter to just dump it, re-assemble and move it...

I promised myself that I'd never make this thread

i've used that yeast before, for me, it wasn't very active strain i dont think. though, last (only time) i used it, i didnt make a starter, that could be one reason. take a gravity reading and see if its dropped at all.

    How often do you brew?

i limit myself to twice a month (5 gal each), mostly because i dont want the spending to get to far out of hand, but the month of October i wasn't able to brew at all. but i have the ability to do 10 gallon batches, so been thinking about brewing 10 gallons of stuff like BM Cent Blond and my...

    Kits

once you have the "starter kit" it doesnt hurt to buy ingredient kits to get your feet wet...i've been brewing for 3 years and i'll still get an ingredient kit now and then. when it comes to styles you maynot know what ingredients go in it well enough. for me, Wheat beers, i like some, not my...

+1, also, keep them in the frig for a week or more really seems to help as well.
